Your favorite poker pro and why!

Who is your favorite poker pro and why? My favorites have to be Daniel Negreanu, since he is canadian and born in the same city as me (hometown pride, baby!), and because of his sick reads and class. I also like Patrick Antonius. I think he has the ultimate stone-cold bluff face. No emotion. Just cool calculated decisions.

I like Daniel alot, he seems like a genuine guy. His read is just out of this world. Eric Lindgren is a class act aswell, i dont like Gus Hansen as mutch but i like to follow his progress as he plays so unlike many other pros.

Other notable ones are Mike Matusow, because hes like a big baby, showing his emotions when he wins and looses, a colorfull character, i like him

I love doyles blog aswell even if i dont find him the best player around, he realy has a nice look on life and the amount of friends he has is just a testiment to that, an absolute class. Barry Greenstein is a nice guy aswell

Ive never rated Ivey, Ramer, Juanda and Cunningham alot. They dont catch my eye and suckout way to often for my liking. And i realy dislike jennifer tilly, its beond me how she can be a pro poker player, she has no read, makes ridicoulus plays and always looks easy to read, talks alot when she doesnt have a hand and then shuts up when she has the nuts.

I think Cunningham is deadly. I never see him make too many mistakes. When i've watched him play he usually goes all-in with the best hand pre-flop. I believe that Ivey is overrated and not the best in the world as so many claim, but he is damn good nonetheless. He would eat amateurs alive. Even Daniel mentioned in a recent blog titled "Ivey is good..." or something akin to that. Tilley is a dunce.

Don't watch a ton of poker, but Ivey and Cunningham would definitely be near the top. DN is as well but I'd put him just below both Ivey and Cunningham.

Todd Brunson

This guy has got to be my favorite. Not because of the way he plays or anything but because I met him in Vegas on time and he was a hell of a nice guy. We talked about all sorts of things from family to fishing. He was in no rush and had all the time in the world.

We ended up talking about this show called Cold Wars that you can only get at digitalfuntown. He saw the show a couple time and said he enjoyed it. I was like wow cause thats gotta be my favorite show. You can check it out if you want at......

I like anyone who shows class at the table and is a great competitor. My top 5 would have to be....1) Negreanu 2) Lindgren 3) Doyle 4) Harrington and 5) Cunningham.
One of the reason's poker is so interesting is that you can take different styles like Harrington and Gus Hansen and see so much success and good results

Negreanu-no contest. He's a great poker player. Mature, funny, kind. Seems like an all-around nice guy. Fun to watch. Able to take a bad beat.

Gus Hansen 2nd. Again, good player, interesting to watch, not a baby like Phil and Mike.

Doesn't make him any less of a baby. He makes money BECAUSE of the bad plays that sometimes result in suck-outs, instead of crying about it he should be inviting the players to play with him again.

I used to watch poker years ago on channel 5 (england) at silly oclock in the morning, which is what got me intrsted in the game in the first place. So now I play alot of poker and swing so much right now so I watch alot on the net and here are some my favorates-

Daniel Nagrarneu- amazing reads and seems like a great guy to play poker with.

Gus Hansen- He scares me some of the cards he plays, but as he shown on HSP not afaid to play horrible to get a result.

Scotty win baby- just for his interviews

I laso like watching Ivey amd hellmuth play even if hellmuth whinges like my 4 year old nephew its funny to watch him all in at hyper speed.

I watched Jenifer Tilly twice now on poker after dark and I dont like the way she plays or calls the people around her geniuses. She should zip it a little and act like she should be there.

Nam Le

I think my favorite is probably Nam Le because he is a very sound player for being such a young guy. I also like his brother Tuan Le. They are both solid hold'em players, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them both do quite well in the HORSE events. Outside of Holdem I think Barry Greenstein is the man because he is just an all around good guy.

Im from the old school so I really like Johnny Chan. Doyle still is the tops as far as Im concerned in how he conducts himself at the table. Also his play is great. Watch when he prepares for an aggressive move. Silent but deadly.

I like to watch Sam Farha on tv the most, not sure if that is what being asked her or not. He always makes it exciting on hsp, along with Eli Elazra. I would much rather watch/play cash games than a tournament anyday, seems to be more action and better play. Not to mention it is always cool to see the big million dollar pots.

My favorites are basically the recurring cast of High Stakes Poker.

Additionally, "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Tony G, as he makes for great TV.

Favorite's tough to call so my least favorite is Sean Sheikhan. He just creeps me out so bad. Makes my skin crawl. There's something very, very, seedy about the vibe he gives. Yick...

That's saying a lot since I actually like Matusow on account of he makes me laugh.

So I read his Wiki entry and it looks like there's a really good reason for him to creep me out. Could he be any creepier?

Ive always been a fan of Lederer, but also enjoy Negreanu. I love to see Matusaw and Hellmuth go off though, funny stuff.
