I think it is great. The more large corporations that get into poker, the more likely it will be that here in America they will get rid of some of the completely ridiculous poker/gambling laws. We all know how easy America can swing to the tune of large corporations. That article said it was in the UK but that is definitely a start. Plus the more people that get into poker, that just means there is more money to be had by the people who know how to play it.

man that has to be the most disturbing picture I have seen eric!! I remember playing holdem on yahoo before the online game sites were so popular. It was very slow playing meaning people would take so long or the program was just very slow it would take about 5 minutes to play one hand. Hopefully this will be sped up a bit.

This is quite old news... yahoo poker launched over a year ago and hasn't really gained much traction as far as I can tell. I don't foresee Google or Microsoft/MSN entering the poker game anytime soon, unless US law changes drastically. Even then, Google is unlikely to head down that road - it doesn't fit with their corporate image.

re: Yahoo poker, Google and MSN to come? Unless the law changes over here in the usa then yahoo isnt gonna get to far. They have to compete with the poker giants as well. I would play there though because honestly you know its gonna be a whole bunch of fish in a barrel. Just aim and shoot

re: Yahoo poker, Google and MSN to come? I don't see MSN entering that scene not now not ever. MSN main goals for now are to promote the "Live.com" products. On the other hand, if those monopoly companies will join this market, small poker sites that are more fun and friendly will be shut down as the time goes by, and we will be stuck with millions of players (most of them are bad players like me), slow servers, a lot of advertising and spam than usually. And the Online Gambling laws will pop up fast. I think it will be bad to the online gambling scene.
