$x - $1000 Challenge I am starting a new bankroll target for myself. I have done two before, one I busted out after going on hypertilt and one I got from $50 to $500 then withdrew the money as it was needed. I welcome any low stakes players to join in a challenge to get to $1000. I started from $32 about a week ago, and my progress is as follows Day 1 $32 Day 2 $52 Day 3 $75 Day 4 $102 Day 5 $102 (didnt play) Day 6 $118 Day 7 $124 Day 8 $180 (today - so might change) My target is $1000. Where i plan to take any further profit to my bank account. I have no interest in a $5000 bankroll playing $100nl. I will be playing only cash games and mostly $10nl, but sometimes $20nl if i have notes on a couple of players at a table.

same challenge different road hi there, interested in how you go about your challenge. i like the way you really add to your stack each day. what limits are you playing? i think i am trying to do the same thing and playing really tight, putting very little at stake. i started with 50$ like 4 weeks ago and currenlty up to 220$. playing 0.05/0.10 5$ buy-in playing plh. trying to use the 30 x buy-in rule until moving up to the next level. good luck

Congrats on the quick progress. Not meaning to burst a bubble though, but what are you going to do if a bad run comes? Stick at 10nl still or 20nl? Or drop down. I've got a challenge for myself, i'm playing at 2nl but i'm not allowed to step up till i've played 10k hands an I can show a cushty profit. My current roll is at $59 an even if I get up to £80 i'm not stepping up to 4nl. I figure I want to be able to kill all levels. Just something to try. I'm @ 2,2k hands atm an i'm showing a profit of 10bb/100 which i'm quite satisfied with at the moment, just gotta keep it up But GL with it . If i get up close to you I might join in with the race :P BTW. I started @ $20 2 weeks ago. Last edited by scragbag : 12th November 2008 at 2:02 PM. Reason: Addition to Reply

Well I really hope for you dude that it isnt a long bad run! Depends what type of game you're playing tbf. Are you multi-tabling? Usually tightens your game up because you're unable to worry about Post-Flop so much. What site you playing on?

Well I like the Idea of this, and your stack is getting bigger, My problem also is tilt. not that I tilt to often but I lately give up to easy. I dont get mad I get disgusted in my playing. But I think I'll try. I just need to make a deposit.

Just opened this post and realised I stated it lol. I believe I got to about $350 and withdrew. Just opened an account with Tong G poker and started with $35, got it up to $70 and got fed up with the connection issues i got with them (constantly sitting me out) so withdrew the $70. Now playing at red kings, deposited about $25 and now am up to $45 after an hour or so. I have no doubt I am good enough to beat $10 and $25 nl. But tilt if somebody hits a 2 outer on me. I will make use of the exit room now as soon as this happens - so challenge 2 aiming for $1000 Day 0 - $25 Day 1 - $45 (currently)

re: $x - $1000 Challenge poker Not a bad day getting back into it. Was about to leave the table after getting a bit tired, get pocket aces. In later position the best player at the table raises it up to 70c I re raise to $1.8 to be sure to put out some limpers, he comes over the top to $3.9 ish. I move it to $8 He thinks a bit and calls. Now im thinking he has either AKs or KK. flop comes down J43 mixed. I shove and we are both all in. Now, I know what he had, but if it was a room that waits until the river to reveal cards I would have cried with the next two cards turn Q River K Anyway - he had 63 offsuit. I guess he must have had a bad beat at another table. Now I fully appreciate the beauty of exiting when you get suckered. Feast on those players - dont be one. End of play today Day 0 - $25 (deposit amount) Day 1 - $92.83 I will try not to play again today unless I feel really fresh later on this evening.
