here is where we are at now.

David Simon is done. Simon got involved in a pot with Rick Fuller and this is how the action went down:
Simon pushes all-in with 10-10 and Fuller calls with A-Q. The flop comes J-K-A and Simon is in trouble. The turn comes 3 giving Simon no help. The river comes 2. Simon is out and Fuller's stack grows even bigger. Also, Hellmuth is one player closer to his 11th bracelet.
  • Level: 20
  • Blinds: $20,000/$40,000
  • Ante: $5,000
  • Average Stack: $876,000

Storms, this doesn't apply to me, for I follow the WSOP anyways, but some people don't like to hear about WSOP events in threads because they would rather watch it on TV. I don't know if this is a TV event, but just a heads up (even for those that aren't TV events) you should put *******WSOP spoiler***** in title for those that would prefer not to know anything about it until they watch it on TV, so that they can just not click this thread.

Phil Hellmuth has just knocked out one of his biggest competitors, Scott Clements, at the final table. It was an epic hand and it played out like this:
Clements moves all-in for $750,000 and action folds to Phil Hellmuth. Hellmuth thinks for a long while and eventually calls. Surprisingly Clements flips over A-5 which is thoroughly dominated by Hellmuth's A-10.
The flops comes Q-10-9 and Hellmuth is now firmly in the lead with a pair of 10s. The turn comes 8, which doesn't help Clements and the final card is 5.
Hellmuth can practically smell the bracelet now, folks.

I dont know if I will be able to update too much longer but here is where it stands.

The players are going to take a dinner break right now but we're fairly sure all Phil Hellmuth is hungry for is his 11th bracelet. Hellmuth has as many chips as his opponents do combined. Check back in 45 minutes for the exciting finale. Here's the exact chip stacks.

1.Phil Hellmuth$4,450,000

2.Andy Philachack$1,550,000

3.Rick Fuller$1,500,000

4.Morgan Michina$430,000

It should be noted that last year Hellmuth failed in his first quest to win bracelet #10, losing to an unknown. He finally beat Juha Hellipi (another pro) to win #10.

As far as I can tell, he's up against unknowns again.

I will be rooting against him.

not confirmed but this just in

Because of the hour delay between the final table broadcast information is spotty. We're hearing that action is down to three players and Phil Hellmuth has more than $5 million. We can't confirm it yet but we'll keep you posted.

I got it last year for free because they screwed up. Actully everyone got it for free if they logged online and went to website.

I loved it almost didnt want to go to work so I could keep watching it. I dont mind not seeing the hole cards, lets me try to figure it out on my own. Or I could just listen to Jamie Gold he just told us

Morgan Machina Eliminated

All four players see the flop after Morgan moves all-in with ; Andy Philacheck has ; Phil Hellmuth hass and Rick Fuller has .

The flop is , all three players check.
On the turn, Andy Philacheck bets out big and both Phil Hellmuth and Rick Fuller fold. The on the river would have made trips for Phil Hellmuth but instead Andy Philacheck wins the hand and Morgan Machina is eliminated.

Now we'll really never hear the end of his bragging about being the greatest player in the world.

Good for him, though, and I'd love to be in his position. Instead, I just lost 88 bucks at a 2/4 limit game. Heh.

Don't like him, but glad he erases Doyle Brunson out of the record books, So he beat 10 players in the 70's, big deal.

I must of missed all of that, anyway, yeah the brunson thing can be looked at like that, the fields were small back in those times. I think maybe he can still be seen as a reason why the wsop is still going or even started to begin with though. Brunson and pugsy and those fellas got it all up and running with binions backing and stuff, glad they did.
