Its good to see Joe Hachem doing pretty good. Hope he can keep it up and go deep. Scotty Nguyen is doing very good as well.

Just shows that it's a big crapshoot. If you love poker and ever win a seat to the ME, take the cash and play in 7 or 8 bracelet events instead.

That's how it is at any tourney really imo, until you increase your stack by about 50% you're always in danger of being knocked out instantly. Once you get a bigger stac though the big stacks might leave you alone, and it'll be easier to play your own game.

The first hand I win at showdown in a tourney is usually an all in and a double up.

Hey Buckstud they aren't releasing the count on entrants but according to poker listings, they estimate around 6200 to 6700 people playing this years ME, as round 1 is broken down into 1a, 1b etc and each 1st round had about anywhere from 1400 to 1600 per round, I'll be watching and posting if I see it.

I don't know if I would ever play in the WSOP Main Event, unless I really had money to dish out. I just don't know if it is worth it. $10K buy-in with so many 6K+ entrants. Plus, after the few first levels the blinds just start eating you up so quick. You lose one big hand to either a monster or a bad beat and you're crushed.

It was great to see J.C. Tran go from 4500 chips to a very sizeable stack, but I am rooting for Daniel Negreanu to win it. Or at least a few big names to be at the final table. Did you guys read the story about Daniel meeting Andre Agassi? I thought it was funny, he seems like a very stand up guy.
