WSOP Day 1-C Updates
OK Cardschatters. Instead of burying the results from day 3 of the WSOP in the other thread, I am starting a fresh thread for updates. The updates will begin around 3:00pm EST, 12:00pm PST (Vegas time) and continue again until the wee hours of Sunday morning.
For those that don't know, the field of about 5600 entrants were divided up into 3 heats or flights, labelled 1a, 1b, and todays, 1c. They are playing down each day to about 650 players (or less) then combining the three groups on Sunday, July 10. There are some big names playing today such as Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Marcel Luske, and more. And don't forget the farm animals...lots of fish and donkeys. Anyone feel free to post anything related or information here, even discussion as long as it stays on topic. Lets give people a reason to come here to get their information and great discussion. |

11:45am PST
Mike "The Mouth" Matusow lives up to his name, earning 4, 10 minute penalties for dropping F-bombs. Accused of throwing his cards, the dealer called floor, he let one fly. When penalized for the throwing (10 mins) and the first F word (10 mins) he replied, "that's F'n great" (10 more mins). As he was walking away he dropped one more for good measure (40 mins total). Get em' Mike. That rule is lame as FCUK! |

Howard Lederer is evidentally playing super agressive having been all-in once, noone calling, and making bets of over 5,000 twice already. Jesus Lederer, looks like your man has some serious cajones today. Chicubus...actually I'm getting the info from more than one place and doing it as a service to people interested. If you aren't then Feck off. Some are. Be gone with you. Also, this is a discussion thread. If anyone wants to discuss a hand or particular elimination, then they can. Do me a favor douchebag and go away. Oh, and I haven't copy and pasted a single word. I am on a mobile device and don't have that function, smartguy. I started this as a discussion type thread, not just for the updates and people were asking where to get info. I told them about cardplayer in yesterdays thread. I also go to a couple other forums and obviously wasn't going to send them there. We had a decent discussion in yesterdays thread and as the main event progresses and some big names start going after each other I think the threads will get a lot of traffic and some good disussion/debate. If you meant no offense then my bad.

What do you guys think? This flight was full of top-notch pros. CARDPLAYER UPDATE Table 83 seat 9 just had a tray of drinks dumped right on his head by a cocktail waitress. Four open Coronas, a couple of Cokes and a few other drinks went all over the poor fellow. Talk about shitty luck. Cardplayer.com saw fit to post that as a stand alone update. LOL. Hey diablanco, Great stuff you have going here! I agree with you about the stiff competition in this round. It has to be by far the best round. If I were there I would rather be in any of the other rounds.
Look at this list and I prob forgot someone)Matthew Hilger Phil Ivey John Phan Kisty Gazes John D' Agostino Huck Seed Howard Lederer Marcel Luske John Juanda Mike Matusow Tom McEvoy Robert Williamson III Doyle Brunson Minh Nguyen I hope Doyle can come back and double up before the days out. I want to see him at the final table! Poor guy with the drink tray. I hope they at least put his name on Cardplayer.com. Well, maybe he'll make the TV cut on ESPN. Probably not thogh they cut a lot out! Thanks for these updates!!!!!!!!!!! |

Go Howard go! Lederer is the man. Heīs going to reach the final table this year, since Doyle is out now nobody is going to catch a river flush against Ledererīs trips.
I also like Marcel very much, heīs so funny and he plays a very good poker. I have a question diablo: Layne Flack was busted or not? Heīs playing now at FTP. |

Well, I just figure she would be one of the 3 people getting most of the ESPN camera time. All the previews show her, Ivey and Hellmuth.
Last years 2 million all or nothing game on ESPN she got in Phils head and played him perfectly. Hmmm I think next year a lot of us should make it there .Just to say hey we did it at least once. |
