WSOP: Amateurs vs Pros

I Tivo'd the 1993 WSOP and it had a couple segments with Doyle, Chip, Telly Savalas, Ted Forrest and others.
At least two of them are no longer with us but it was interesting to hear them comment on the influx of newer
players even back then. I'm a new player myself.

Has the WSOP released statistics on how many amateurs are there compared to pros playing the WSOP?
Also, how many of the $10,000 seats of the Main Event are actually won by satellites?
