Since this thread is more updated.. thought I'd throw Oz's comment over here, if that is cool.

Yeah, they are trying to give it a shot in the arm. The final tables of the super regionals plus some of the overall points leaders for the whole tour will play at Caesar's in May 2011 right before the 2011 WSOP and they are going to give the winner of that tourney a Bracelet.

I'm disappointed they aren't stopping in Harrah's Chester since PA table games start there this Sunday. Maybe they'll add them later.

The important thing is the Harrah's suits clearly agreed with us about the things that needed to be done to revitalise the Circuit tournaments: get them back on TV and make them credible.

Guess time will tell us if it actually works. Awarding a real live WSOP bracelet is an interesting decision, especially since the tournament they're awarding it in has a closed field of just 100 runners. If I were to try to predict the future (and sod it, why not...) I'd expect that these bracelets aren't going to be respected as "real bracelets" by the poker community but Joe Public in front of his TV won't know or care about the difference.

And it's interesting that they've found probably the one thing (aside from Norman Chad) they can offer viewers that no other poker show can, but in using it they're probably devaluing one of their biggest branding assets...

I will definetly be playing in one of the games Dec4th-22nd!!!! Anyone know where I can find the individual schedule of events.

Probably gonna have to check each casino's individual websites. Horseshoe Council Bluffs doesn't have the events schedule listed, yet, though.. and they are the first ones on the list.

Looks like I'll be heading up to Council Bluffs on August 26 for event #22, the $120 game.

I still think Harrah's is making a mistake with the $10k championships. They should drop them down to $5k. Will make it easier to satelite in and still have a very nice prize pool. I think the $10k buyin will continue to hurt those fields.

how did you get the buy in info, I'm trying to get he east and not finding it any info other then just the dates for the A.C
