dose anyone know what is the latest that you can reg for the WSOP am thinking about going there this year in Las Vegas to play in it , i have never been there before to vegas or played in the WSOP

Pre-registration opens March 1. I would expect that you could register for an event in person the day of the event you choose.

Depending on the event you play in, you can register up until the time the event starts, or in instances where there is high demand, you may be placed on an alternate list and will get placed in a seat as others bust out of the tourney.

The 2008 WSOP runs from May 30-July 16, the Main Event begins on July 3rd.

This was the case in the past, but apparently this year there won't be any alternates. They're also capping every event (except for the Main Event and the first $1500 NLHE event) at 2760 players. So it mightn't hurt to get in earlier.
