WPC final call tonite

at first, I had no clue where to put that post in as I kinda got lost where it suits best ...

is anyone here playing the Final Call for the World Poker Crown on 888 for 42+3$ buy in? hope i can make it under the top 100 for the final ticket as I already bubbled in 2 tourneys with a buy in of 27.50 $ before .... once exactly on the bubble which wasnt really pleasing lol

cant really miss that shot with the huge prizepool and 1 Mio for the first but 1000 $ buy in directly to the final is way too massive for my br

if the thread is in the wrong section I do appologize for it but didnt know better, its also just my 2nd post or so on the forum but was stuck to work lately and didnt have time to keep on track

seen the development of the 100 seats last call and they came around 1000 regged so i jumped out of it shortly before the start and in the 50 seats that starts in 20 minutes

hopefully got slightly better chances that the 1/10 of the other one ... bout 190 regged so far and 20 min to go

369 ppl regged for that 1 at the end and seen sum really really sick suckouts - 2 of my best friends lost to runner runner bullshit e.g. QQ preflop all in called by 6 9 ... (ye it was suited ) and flop 66 ...

other was all in AK vs JJ - flop K Q 10, turn J .... river 10

just glad ive gone through so hopefully more luck 2morrow (or today for me in germany lol)

alrite, tourney started and got my coffee ready - feelin pretty chilled but got a lil aggro table, lets see

5k starting stack and 30 min blinds is pretty decent

took me a while to get over it but was still fun and didnt invest much to get through the main event, just like 40 bucks

the game was good and the blind structure really solid - 30 minute blinds and 5k starting stack so there was room for pleasant poker

made sum really crappy folds on medium cards like K 10, AJ and J9 hearts where i wud have hit on the river - once the AJ vs twice QQ ... river ace sick

had been a triple up to about 20k that time but was too conservative

at the end went out on JJ vs 99 vs AK - u wud expect a guy folds with 2 all in before him for almost 60% of his stack on dumb Anna Kournikowa - most overrated hand on poker, he called and sux out the ace of course argggg

final rank was kinda 700ish but really liked the format of the tourney, just wish there wud be more such tourneys where u can play decent poker

edit: was out after 4h15 min and until the ft they lasted about 11 hours !!!

1 day later played the 50k free on WassPoker (qualification through points for the monthly final free) and took home 12th place out of 1975 and a solid $800, so kept me pleased lol
