WPC final on 888, the story of a bust ... doh

posted before to put on my story of the final of the 3Mio $ event at 888 and got in there fairly cheap in one of the last calls for 42+3 $, compared with the value of the ticket from over 1k $ thats ok and had a few winnings at 888 so thought i give it a try ... and yes I made it to the final

starting stack was 5k chips and blinds each 30 minutes so really much time to play sum decent poker so it was not surprising to see a tight table at the beginning and just about 30 out from the 2k started players after maybe 45 minutes

I didnt hit any big cards so thought I just stay in there and watch a few of the opponents and made a capucchino to stay awake and not getting bored while playing "Fold'Em No Limit" ...

after an hour there was the first break and I was down to maybe 4700 chips, havent played a single hand and we had a nice teamspeak meeting with all friends that also got entry to that big final, all similar to me and totally carddead lol

2nd hour started and played a few more connectors as the blinds been still low and also caught up sum nice hands where i cud steal the pot even when there was a raise in middle position, once AK and the other time KK but also a nice bluff against one of the most aggressive players on the table

after 2 hours I had a stack of about 7k, still tight as hell and afterwards the sick part began when I was folding a lots of winners due to preflop raises and reraises

the worst one been AJ off suit in late position, one guy raises EP to 3xBB and there is a repush for another 4xBB so wasnt really worth calling preflop and the guy in EP goes over the top and gets immediately called - both show pocket queens lol ... board all blank until the river which was an ... yes u guessed it ... ACE arggg, nice triple up to about 20k folded dohh

story went on with K10 against an all in and K on the river and a pocket 5s vs 2 reraisers where the river had been a 5 again ... was sitting there and grumbling ... time for another coffee tho but didnt get any better, was stuck on 7k after the 3rd break and the blinds now raised up and was time to make a move - 2 bad laydowns preflop later with the same result as before I got worried i will get bust on a big hand timing

a guy from germany next to me hit big time and was up to awesome 63k, if i had called 3-4 of those medium hands i had won all against him and wud have been on his comfortable stack ...

4th break was there and i grabbed another coffee but still no good, 2 of my friends git busted with PP vs AK ... that was a signal for me and yep, as usual when u need to win the coinflip u get fu..ed up at online poker

4h15 played and I was holding JJ on the cut off, blinds 300-600 and own stack about 6.9k, before me was a raise and I told to myself and my english buddies that now chatted on msn "its time for a move, cant fold again" and pushed em all in - immediately after me the call from a slightly lower stacked on about 5k and the BB calls me after thinking for a while

the smaller stacked had 99 and the big blind was calling for 65% of his stack with AK .... grrr gotta hate those Anna Kournikowa Lovers, its just 2 face cards and ur behind preflop against every PP - flop comes down A Q 7 and i was totally gutted - always when u need to win a coinflip u get lost

turn was a blank and river a 10 and i was out on place 700ish, very sore and not really pleased by the weak call, he didnt really have pot odds and was the usual online call with 2 high cards ...

30 min my best friend gets busted in the most unreal way - AK off vs AK off and his opponents his a 4 card flush .... unbelievable

top 300 had been in the payout and first place in worth 1500$ summat, until the top 10 was a fairly ok end those top 10 will fly to Barcelona to play live on TV cams etc to see who will take home the 1Mio $ as first prize ....

such a big chance and missed on a coinflip, gotta hate when that happens

the final will be streamed on the internet this week on thursday on www.worldpokercrown.com

P.S. one day later I managed to win 800$ in a tourney and guess how i busted in that tourney this time ... JJ lol

but the scenario was pretty different as KK and AA were in the same hand ... pretty sick and rigged but thats the usual online poker lol

I even hit the flush on diamonds and no one of them had a diamond but the AA rivered the A of diamonds for a full house

guess im still not over it and yesterday i played another tourney on 888 and went all in with AK ... JJ called and nothing shows up on the board rofl

P.S. i think there have been also canadians under the last 10 with a serious chance to win it

oops just found out one weird thing - that guy on my table that hit big time had the username damnDonk - if I had called him he wud have been busted and I had his stack

and wot did I just find out on the site for the final??? he is that german under the last 10 fighting for the 1 Mio $ as first prize .... oh feck thats such a bollox, it cud have been me ...
