| did u just tell the guy to stop minraising, when he got payed off so easily with it? I don't think there is a right or wrong way to raise, the more you mix it up the better you disguise your hands. Sometimes I min raise, sometimes I make big raises. Have to mix it up to make it difficult for your opponent to put you on a hand. If you min raise with AA and end up getting a lot of chips from a guy people might take notice. You min raise next hand and people might be cautious. Poker about thinking 2 steps ahead and 1 step behind, whatever that means. |

| I didn't tell him to do anything - that is a link to an article that will explain to you both why it's such a terrible play at small/med stakes. It just so happens that the title is just that, "Stop minraising". Regarding mixing your play up, that only applies when you play with people frequently enough that they start to read you like a book. There's no point in 'mixing up your play' when you're facing an unobservant player who will stack with KJ on that flop. You could play the same way every hand and he wouldn't notice. |

"Once I was on a flush draw and some guy bet $500 and I called with my whole bankroll and hit the flush on the river and won $1,000 pot! So now I always put my entire bankroll all-in on a flush draw!!!" |
