Worst pre-flop folds you've done? For instance tonight I was sitting on 9 7 off and I had the strongest feeling I was going to flop a straight, though the guy directly to my right +1 raised to $2 in a 25/50 cent game, and I had already won a nice pot so I decided to let it go when the other person called as well and plus it was very unlikely I thought I had just saved myself $2. What flops up but none other 6 8 10 rainbow. They both go all in, show there cards.....both have A Q off. I was spewing both ended up splitting the pot with A Q high and that would've been over a $100 pot too.

re: Poker & Worst pre-flop folds you've done? Non nonsensical, but still fun. This seems to happen to me a lot, where I will fold truly ugly cards and would have flopped a boat, or quads. But then I remember the RNG's and dismiss it. Helps pass the time though to think 'what might have been'. The worst ones are when I have that feeling something could happen, but better sense washes over me and I fold and then see the monster that truly would have changed the game. cest le poker!

i've folded 72 and had the flop come 777. does that make it a bad fold? no of course not. you can't play on feeling, i have 93 but i feel some 9's coming so i'm going to call a preflop raise. that's just stupid. you don't know what cards are coming, and anyone who plays like this would be extremely unprofitable.

re: Poker & Worst pre-flop folds you've done? People, the OP didn't say "cards you wished you played", I took it as 'cards you didn't play (for whatever reason) that would've become something (not that you would ever play them again, and not that you care you folded them this time)'

A friend folded AQs today to a PF 4 bet i think, and would have made a royal flush. He had best hand PF as well just didn't know. Today i folded AKs in a 2 person all in in an MTT. Didn't want to risk the chips, but as it turned out i would have had them pretty much dominated.

I repeatedly folded winners last night. Worst was 95 which became Quad 9s. I kicked myself because I was in the BB and did have good pot odds. I can fold up to QQs, but I have a hard time letting go of KK. goldog

Isnt poker all about making the right decisions at the right time, thats the way i look at it and strive to get better at. No point looking back. I got knocked out of a 200k guarantee tourney few weeks ago, got unlucky on the river but it softened the blow to know that i made the right decision at the right time, i was about 75% favourite to win the pot

it like 85 percent that the best hand gets folded i think if you had like 7 2 off and the flop comes 2 2 7 like who care 99 times out of a 100 your going to fold that hand anyways i thinks better when you make great fold like i was playing in a home it's 100 dollar buy in sit n go and really only 1st gets the money 1st hand of the game i got kings a guy raised than a reaise and an all in i knew that i guy had aces just because i know how he plays so i folded and he did have aces and the other 2 had queen and 10's and the guy hit quad aces

re: Poker & Worst pre-flop folds you've done? I have folded queens against a raise a re-raise and all-in when I came to a new table, no doubt the two players that went had it had like aj and a10, what can you do when you can't tell how loose these guys are playing? Also I've folded things that were going to be straight flushes and quads, but I don't mind since most of the time I have good reasons to fold.
