Worst players or PartyPoker

I was playing the $40K guarunteed tourny last night on PartyPoker and I started to get annoyed at the play during the second half of the tourny. At around 800 people left out of 2535 there was very tight play with every one going all in to steal the blinds. Also when someone just raised to steal or see a flop an all in bet would follow as well with the fold. Now this went on for about 1.5hrs and I was only able to play one or two hands which I luckily had KK and doubled through to 25K and the other I lost only 5K with QQ against a small stack. Now towards the end of the later part of the tourny I was able to steal alot of blinds and bets with aggressive play(maybe due to the fact of my super tight play earlier), but I managed to get to over 150K and that let me get to 22nd. Now I think that I could have placed better if my opponents play was much better rather than the all in or fold theory which continued the whole way through. I was beat out with QJ of diamonds against AQos. I was late position with everyone folding to me and I pushed all in only to see I was dominated. On the flop though I had an open ended straight draw which never came.PartyPoker K guarunteed.jpg

Umm, that's kind of the point of push/fold late in tournaments with small stacks relative to blinds.

I could do very well if all my opponents always folded to my bets too, but it's not gonna happen.

I do know you have to push when you have very few bets compared to the blind situation, but for an hour there were all in bets for 40K+ from the larger stack at the table for the blinds and antes worth 1500 chips. now this was consistent among larger and medium stacks for half the tourny. People would be all in for 40 bb for no roi. there was no play other than all in even when there were 800 players and the blinds were still relatively low compared to the chipstacks at the table. Now this was consistent through most of the tables that i was at and i had been moved around 5 or 6 times. Now I will agree with you near when I busted out because everybody had about that 15 bb in front of them, but mostly everyone i had seen at the table had this all in or fold theory for most of tourny.
