The worst hand you have ever played?
I think this is quite close: 2 years ago, after and few double ups.
Before I learnt Bankroll mgt: ( this hand made me think about changing my ways ) $5/$10 Game: This particular player had been been bullying for 25 hands. Raising, raising and re-raising. regardless. I had had enough. Although this was the wrong hand to do it with though. ( unless very very lucky ) Hero: 4,4: BB. Villian raised to 40 Hero Raised to 80 Villain raised to 150 Hero Called. ( pot 300) Flop 6, 8, 2 ( rainbow ) Villian raised 250 Hero ( fed up with this constant raising ) - all in $750. Villian called.......ofhpooh - why og why did I do that!!! Turn 7 River 5 I win with straight. Villian had A,A. Basically I let my emotions take Over. I was on some kind of stupid criuade/tilt. I would have lost 1/2 my bankroll on a 11% shot..... I was in shock after this game and realised what I fool i was. I turn the PC off and did not play for 3 weeks. I think this hand changed the way I look at poker and the way I play. I studied 2 books cover to cover and learnt about bankroll mgt. Luckily have been nowhere near this multitude of errors since. Has anyone else got a major bad hand that they regret or has turned their poker around. |
