Worst bad beats for ages

I dont normally vent about bad beats but last weekend was the worst ever for me. Ever since I had a rant at Ladbrokes for cutting me off in a heads up match, I seem to lose every showdown I go into, I am sure its coincidence but I still dont like it

An example of two beats I got last weekend. I wouldnt say these are the worst but they are the most memorable

Bad beat 1 - am heads up in STT $50+$5. Winner takes $175, 2nd $75. I am on 4,000, other guy 2,000. He goes all in, I call. He is holding A 4os, I show A 10s. He hits a straight. I never get poor cards and he closes the game

Bad beat 2 (and worse) - 10k guaranteed $75+$7.50. Go all-in early tourney, 3-way showdown. One guys shows A 10, other guy 44 and me QQ - you guessed it, the guy holding 44 unbelievably hits a STRAIGHT! I had a laugh to myself but lost almost $200 in the space of about an hour to two beats like this

These may not sound as bad as some but when you consider it $200 its not nice

I am moving over the next few weeks so I got my internet dc so wont be playing now for at least 6 weeks or so, so thats a complete break, which I need

Don't know if i can beat that, but I was in $50 6 player SnG on betfred last night. Clawed way back from shortstack to lead with 3 players remaining (pays 2 places) when... my boy starts screaming the house down. Never mind, wife is upstairs, she'll deal .....still screaming, wife asleep...... bring him down for a cuddle, still in lead....... still screaming, can't quiet him down. Other 2 players are playing megatight holding out for 2nd place. In the end have go all in KJ, called by AA, out of tourney.......son stops screaming! Grrrrrrrrr!

Luckily no money was involved (so you know that this is just another story of a freeroll bad beat), but I couldn't believe that someone who was NOT short stacked in the middle stages of a freeroll would actually go all in preflop with 2-2. Having A-A, I decided to take the chance, thinking that maybe I would bust his A-K or K-K. You know what happened next ... no aces, and a duece on the flop...

If on the second hand an A had came in the flop, would you be so angry? You were just 57% favourite, i think the straight made the things more dramatic, but those things happens. It can be considered as a bad beat because preflop you were favourite, but come on, i know you have seen those situations million times. Bad beats are a normal part of the poker. A bad beat doesnīt deserve a thread. Sorry to be annoying, but itīs really getting me mad to see so many bad beats threads. I cannot wait till Nick create a bad beat category or sticky thread.
If you want my reasons of why i hate bad beats threads, read this

It wasnt a case of letting you guys know, it was more of a vent, my first in 250 posts

I think the bad beat threads are quite good, they give people a chance to vent their anger at getting beat when they feel they should have taken down the pot

I was more angry at the straight as it seemed so unlikely, had the A came, I wouldnt have felt so bad, you are right!

I think a bad beat section is quite a good idea Lederer, maybe you should run it by Nick. But if you dont wanna read it, you can quite easily see from the title of the thread exactly what it is going to be about
