"Why can't I win?"

I just looked at the 100 or so last posts, trying to catch up. I see not much has changed during my break. There are alot of threads about "I am playing good solid poker, why can't I win". It is my opinon That to win a tournament you can NOT just play solid poker. You MUST............

1) Play EXCEPTIONAL poker:, if you are at one table long enough, players will get reads on you. Change up your game from time to time.
2) Get lucky: you will make mistakes, misreads, and over bet your hand on occasion, you will need to catch that runner runner or case K.
3) Avoid getting UNLUCKY: Others players will make mistakes, misreads and over bet thier hands. If they don't catch, you are golden. (if they do, well thats why we have the bad beats and vent forum)

6) win a 30/70
7) play 10+ MTT/day

LOL, and this list will continue to grow, feel free to add to it

8) Expect to run good & bad at times.
9) Be ready to "lose your a@*" from time to time.
10) If you go on tilt, take a break (if possible).
11) Practice "patience" if that's an option

12) Be patient while the blinds are low
13) Be aggressive when the blinds are high, stealing becomes way more worth it

i just think if your on a losing streak than please play me i like the wins lmao good luck

Not sure I agree 100% with this, if you are going to take chances and play some rags, low blinds are the place to do it. In addition, you can set your table persona as a loose player by doing this and get calls later when you have real hands

Be at peace with your game............respect your own play even if it fails if u did it for the right reasons

Keep playing because eventually the odds will work out in your favor if you're playing wisely. And learn from the hands you lose!

21.) don't fold QQ preflop if there is just one raise

ya know, I know this is correct, but I just cant get over the all-in on the bubble from a loose wild player who went all-in w/ A5o and caught the A on the river. I know I made the right move, but man it really sucks.

22) 7/2 suited is the nuts. Anytime you go all-in preflop with this hand, you will win.
23) Coconuts are the secret ingredient to psychic powers. Drink a cup of coconut juice before you enter tournaments.
24) James Woods is a poker god. It's a known fact. If you play against him, fold every hand.
25) Anytime you win a tournament, make sure you wear the same pair of underwear unwashed in the next tournament as well, even if you don't play another one for a couple of weeks.
26) Pocket Aces never win.

I disagree completely. You will never win with this strategy. Once you go below the 10 BB mark, you have to start going all in with hands like AQ, 88, 77, or maybe even KQ. If you don't the blinds/antes will make you get so low that you'll have no chance.

That's actually good advice... don't want to be "frustrated" while at the tables.

Additionally I think you have do this IN POSITION!!
Player read skills and betting pattern recognition skills are important.
Solid play, luck, timing and patience!!
Winning is hard. Pro's just want to cash 20-25% of the time to stay afloat.
Practice or I should say PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!
