Why am I a losing cash game player?

Since I've gotten PokerTracker3, I'm -$29.73 in ring games (Mostly .02/.05 NLHE 6max). Can anyone take a look at my PT3 stats for leaks in my game? I play very well in tournaments, but I can't seem to beat the microstake cash games.

Tournament play and cash game play are two very different games. So don't try to compare the two. Post your PT3 stats in here. Post some hands in the HA section.

5K hands is too small a sample to say anything definitive fwiw.

33/10 is a loose passive style, generally a losing style.

Your VPIP by position is not good - you should be much tighter in ep and mp, CO and BTN aren't too bad.

In all positions, you need to be raising or folding more - you're limping or calling way too often. You're completing the SB way too often as well.

You W$SD is absolutely awful - you're either running really bad (i.e., unlucky) or you're going to showdown when you shouldn't (probably a combination of the two). Look at hands you lost at sd with and see if there was an opportunity to fold before sd or to steal the pot without seeing a sd.

You're losing at cash games because you obviously have no idea how to play cash games. Stop playing, start educating yourself. You've got like every leak you could possibly have.

There a lot of great articles in the ring game analysis, required reading. That seemed to help me a lot, especially since I'm new to cash games and used to playing SnG's.

Everyone on here is right imo. Playing ring games and tourneys are 2 different beasts. It took another player a couple years ago to be courageous enough to pull me aside at the casino and tell me I sucked. It was hard to hear but I listened and took his advice and until that point I had not considered that ring games and tourneys needed to be played differently.

Get some good books or read some good articles on ring play and yes, post your HH and ask for advice on your plays. It helps me.

It wasn't me that said that. I appreciate the truthfulness, as I know I'm not a good ring player, and am looking on ways to improve my game.

That (all the articles are free), plus the hold'em manager plugging leaks articles (which are free with the trial version of HEM), and posting hand analysis threads of hands you've played (which are free) is the best way to get better.

The best way to improve your game is to buy a magic 8 ball and consult it before every action at the poker table.

I usually use a 4 sided poker die with check/call/raise/fold on it. Works for me. If i play lag its 2 sided call/raise
