Who Would You Like To Play Heads-Up?

Hey Everyone,

Heads-Up Action is in full swing again... with the Sunday broadcasts of the National Heads-Up Championship. Everyone is addicted to it now... ;-)

But I have always had the Heads-Up bug in me... I just love playing one-on-one... the only one to blame for any mistakes is yourself... it's a more intense game... keeps you on the edge of your sit....

So, who would you want to play Heads-Up?

I have a few people of my own, that I would love to play against...

Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and Daniel Negreanu

but a little more realistic on the digital felt... love to do some Heads-Up action with...

The pros I would like to play are...
Ivey, Dwan, Hansen, Hellmuth

I think every one of those matches would be hilarious! It would definately be a good time!!

I'd like to play Doyle Brunson. I don't think that playing against anyone else could compare to the opportunity to play heads up with a legend of his stature.

Well I guess when it comes down to it the only person I want to play HU is the person that isn't quite as good as me in HU play.

I'd like to play Jennifer Tilly. I'd wear my dark shades, and check-fold every hand. Sure I'd lose, but it would take a while, and I'm sure I would enjoy the process immensely.

I'd love to play Hellmuth headsup. I could never understand how he ever wins headsup. If I lost, it would "be expected". But if i beat him, the publicity it would generate would be a riot! And I could tell him what a fool he was to play the way he did! He loves to trap. Anyone that knows this should be able to own him in the long run.

I'd be more wary playing Daniel N....because of his love of playing any 2 cards. But I think he'd be fun to play.

why the hell would anyone want to play pros, they're pros for a reason ya know

id rather play some idiot player whos never played before so i can haz some easy monies

ya but if you play a pro, then you can gauge where your play is, and if you beat the pro, then you get bragging right

I have already played heads up vs. matusow in 2006 or 2007, I forget now, but anyways I ended up on the session, it was in PL Omaha too

I would never want to play hanson. I saw him win close to 100K of FT in under an hou. It is scary how much he can take from people. I would like to play Phil Ivey, and Doyel Bruson so I could ask, "Why are you playing cards with me? My alarm clock should wake me up in a couple mintues so I dont have long to play."

i`d like to play negreanu, doyle , gus hansen or patrik antonius.....they would probably beat the crap out of me....but hey i might get lucky and as bfw said... and if you beat the pro, then you get bragging right

For me I think Esfandiari would be the ultimate. Patrick antonius would do in a pinch!

Then you can find a game every day, at any time. Not sure what you are playing or where you are playing, unless of course these idiots/bad players are better than you BUT . . yo u don't have to go far, just a few clicks and you have your love/wish to play some idiot.

I think (as you know most likely) he was referring to which "pro" or "celeb" would you rather play. Oh and also, a pro doesn't even have to be better the avg player, a pro can be anyone who wants to be a pro. The worse player in the world could be a "pro" if you wish to label yourself a pro you can, so they're pros for a reason, doesn't mean anything

If I had a choice of playing you for example, or someone who was a million times better, like Phil Ivey, Daniel Negrenu I'd pick Ivey/Daniel every time.

Not because I'd expect to win at all, but the whole thing would be so much more experiencing & fun playing a celeb/pro rather than you.


OP: Id pick probs Daniel Negrenu as a first, then Hellmuth/Ivey/durrrr/ the list goes on;P

Actually, Hellmuth is not as bad as his TV image portrays, the reason you see him on the losing end a lot, is because its good TV ratings when he blows up. Dwan for example, when donked, just looks all smarmy and says "nice hand"...

Playing against Daniel Negreanu would be fun, i feel like the guy is the most interesting guy in the wotrld. Hellmuth would be fun too, just to watch him whine about everything.
I would love to play like a best-of-7 series against one of them, just to see how I could do. Haha also, it increases my chances that I would actually win one...

Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Victoria Coren, and like everybody said, HELLMUTH. Lol I was watching some past episodes of Poker after Dark, and he just stands up and leaves in the middle of it after whining for hours.
