Who wants to help out a stuggling poker player in need?

Well, I'm an 18 year old kid and don't have enough money to put any into an online poker site, but I have always dreamed of it.

I am pretty good at making online signatures and will make anyone who wants one a sig for $1. I mostly do sports stuff, because that is what I enjoy. I would like to play on Pokerstars or any other site, please help me!!

Put in a request, please help me try and build a bankroll!!

Thanks

LOL, Wrong site my friend to try and get a hand out. Besides the fact that you are admittedly underage so you shouldn't be gambling anyway, no one here will lend you a dime (at least I highly... highly doubt it).
Feel free to stick around the forum and post, this is a great forum to be apart of but it's not the handout type of place you are looking for.

Please read the rules of the site. You have blatantly broken them. How about telling us about yourself in the introduction section? We can chat up some fun although I wouldn't suggest playing until you are of legal age.

Well, I don't think he's underage. Many poker sites (most?) only require you be 18, I believe. But yeah, begging. That's definitely not cool.

Begging for money on poker sites (or just begging for money in general) isn't allowed here. This includes, "I'll give you double the money back later" 'offers' and suchlike.
True, but it's still against the rules. IMO not a very needed service either.

oh please people he has balls and that is one of the needed things a poker player needs. Rules or not hats of to ya kid. The world is to be taken even if you have to ask for it. I think he offered a fair service, even though a very narrorw marke,t he offered to trade.Give him a break.

I hope to see ya kid one day at the tables and take a lot of chips of these old bastards. You keep up with the balls ahead approach to life and you will get somewhere.

Short story for you kid...I made a million dollar in my own Steel Fab shop. You know how I did it ??? I was 19 year s old and asked over a hundred strangers through a newspaper add for cash. Not just a few bucks I asked for 200 grand..It took 6 months and at lot of old grumpmy men just like these guys. But finally I found a Man who found a wealth in me and invested. Ten years later I was worth a bundle. Sold him my half and moved on.

Keep on Trucking little brother

P.S. I have cash but I played all on-line MTT's freerolls and earned my first buck in poker that way. You do the same.

My apologies to ya, GoCanes

Sure it's against the rules to ask for money, but he's selling something in return...he aint bein a complete mooch IMO :P

I'd also be happy to help you out, Canes - what do you mean by you make good signatures? Images or what? (here, they don't allow images in the sig's, but I'd be happy to get a new avatar)

PM me if you're still interested

Maybe try and win some $ at a freeroll and try and build a bankroll from there. You'd get some experience and then post your progress here. It's hard to do, and I for one would cheer you on every step of the way.

Maybe Nick will disagree, but I don't see any problem with this thread.

You can have images in your sig too, using img tags. Don't go too crazy on the size though, or we'll remove it.

What!? That's balls? Could have fooled me...I don't think he initially offered the "service" either, he edited in there after seeing complaints.

Balls - "Relating to qualities, such as competence, skill, or knowledge, that are necessary for success"

It seems the homeless wouldn't be poor if they had "balls".

I have no problem with it. If people want to play for his service.lol. . .that's fine by me. Good luck with that.

I should have probably created another thread for my new services but hey, it seems like the thread to do it in so here goes nothing....I'll type the letter "l" 55 times in a row for $1. Any takers?

lol . That's very American of you Dorkus. Are you trying to be Bushesque? As in George W.? But, hey, I'm willing to haggle. How about .50 cents? I'll even throw in a toe nail from a soldier who fought in the Battle of Valley Forge. It's in excellent condition!

If this request is serious, go to VC Poker and open up an account. I know there was a link on the site that allowed you to get $10 bucks for free. So you could try to make a start with that if you really want to get started playing for cash...

Actually I hope he sticks around and becomes an active member of the community. It was just a terrible first post. I don't have a problem with his asking for someone to stake him.....we should be trying to help each other if we can. I have been helped by people here and have been offered help which I have refused. In a small way it is one of the benefits of being a member of a forum. I would be happy to help any LONG STANDING member if I was able, but for someone to start right out of the gate asking for a backer is a bit presumptious and not the first impression I would want people to have of me.

I'm with the kid sticking around also, and I hope he takes the advice and plays some freerolls to build his br that way. Probably the wrong kind of post for a first post, but hey, at least he went for it!

hmm me thinks he will never be back. Sigs are easy to make and there are a million people out there that will make them for free for fellow forum members. Offering a service or not (pretty lame service if you ask me) he is still begging for money and has probably posted on a thousand sites with this little scam.

Well, balls or not, he did break the rules. But I will trust the judgement of my good friend and colleague Chris on this one.
