Who's you favorite player, and why?
My favorite player to watch is Mike Matusow. You always know he's going to start something at the table. I guess it'd be easy to hate Mike if you had to sit in with him. He's a great live game bluffer too.

I have a lot of favorites but I always enjoy watching Scotty Nguyen. He's so nice to the other players and seems to genuinely enjoy the game. Scotty, Chris, Daniel...Much rather watch the happy guys play than the whiners and drama kings/queens.

Daniel Negreanu is my favorite. I love his table presence and would love to play at a table with him, even though he would take all of my chips. He is absolutely hilarious. Also, I love watching him guess other people's cards with near pin-point accuracy. I wish I could hear the inner-monologue of a person as Daniel guesses their cards exactly.

Depends on the criteria
If it's pure entertainment value, it's hard to go past Phil Laak and Phil Hellmuth. All round though, I'm a big fan of Scotty Nguyen, Gus Hansen and Howard Lederer. |

I can't believe it's taken 16 posts for someone to state the obvious...
Doyle Brunson, the Godfather of modern poker! Super System unlocked the mysteries of poker and introduced No Limit Hold Em as a mainstream parlor game, not just an exotic variation for Vegas and high-stakes rounder rooms. The elder statesman of the game, he never fails to carry himself with grace, dignity, and good humor. It was pure Doyle when he lost his temper after a bust-out in season one of High Stakes Poker and called Ted Forest "that idiot", only to take advantage of the first on-air opportunity in season two to apologize to Ted face-to-face across the table. And even at age 74, he's still one of the deadliest big game players in the world. Final table at the 2007 WSOP World Championship Pot Limit Omaha and a cash in the $5,000 HORSE. Still plays almost every day in the legendary "Big Game" in "Bobby's Room" at the Bellagio, where the minimum buy-in is $80K and players routinely sit down with $200K-$300K. Doyle has permanently retired the title of "The Man". There should be a special rake at every casino table, television tournament, and home game in America that's sent straight to Doyle to say "thanks for everything". Phil Ivey: I think I have a bit of a hetro man crush on him
Patrick Antonius: Same as above Phil Hellmuth: I admit it I love to hate him Humberto Brenes: Guy cracks me up (probably really annoying at the table though) |

My favourite players are Daniel Negreanu and Marcel Lüske.
Daniel Negreanu, because I like how he plays his game and it's great to see him playing, because he's just amazing good. Marcel Luske, because it's too funny playing with him. He enjoys to play on the table and loves to make jokes. Great to see him playing, also because he's a great player. |

My favorite player is Daniel Negreanu, followed by Phil Hellmuth.
They're very different players, but I love both their styles, and they're usually very entertaining at the table. My least favorite players are Antonio Esfandiari, followed by Humberto Brenes. I'm not sure why exactly I hate Esfandiari, but for some reason I just can't stand the guy. And Humberto - he's just plain annoying. Watching the National Heads Up Championship I felt like knocking him on the head repeatedly with a live shark while shouting "Who's the chark now? Who's the chark now?" |
