Who are the best online tourney players?

Hello. Who are the best online players at Party Poker?

I dont mean the pros who turn up and bring home a one-off 'Milliondollar-type' tourney (eg 'eoorrr' (aka Eskimo Clark)). I mean the volume players.

From my (limited) research so far i have come up with :-

I_Feel_Fine
BigRiskkyy
zongpoker
CrazyMarco
memphie
RisingShark
KidWonder
DrParkinson
ComeOnPhish
pastika
VeniceBeachy
SLEW77
Theo_Retical
HB_HITMAN
lansky11

Any addidtions? Their monthly top 100 list seems to mainly reflect the good SNG players (or at least the volume SNG players!)

I see all the posts about sustainable ITMs and ROIs for SNGs, how about for the volume tourneys, what's sustainable there?

Have FUN!

First off welcome to CardsChat forum. Secondly, I would like to know what type of tournys are you talking about and how did you come up with the best partypoker player list?

Method

Hello

Well..it's not massively scientific. And it's certainly a bit geeky (apologies).

Was trying to think whether there is good money to be made by playing a substantial volume of online tourneys, and how many people actually do this as opposed to SNGs.

I took the top 10 players for every completed tourney I could find (regardless of buy-in, but not the freerolls/qualifiers/players-points ones). For a period of about 6 weeks (not a great sample I know). And from this, recorded the names mentioned most frequently. I made an underlying assumption that the final table was where the profit was/is.

I suppose with the length of these tourneys you would also have to multi-tourney, similar to the benefit of playing multiple SNGs.

Take it easy

Hi. Thanks for the addition.

SamEnole (aka poker pro Matt Smith) is definately a good player. His online interview makes sense and I think he has a good game. Probably doesnt play a large volume online, hence doesnt feature in my list. If I came across him I would definately give him respect at the table.

Take Care

I am going to try a sample of tourneys in sets of 4 simultaneaously, to see how much my ITM and ROI% drops from the normal (one tourney at a time).

I'll start with a sample of about 80 or so, which might give me an idea.

If the ROI% comes down, but the ROIŁ goes up, then might be worth pursuing.

Omaha cash too quiet in the daytimes so this might be my new daytime sideline (or maybe all 80 MTTs will be mid-field wash-outs!...we shall see)

Still interested if people know any others good players who are playing (successfully) mulitple (large volumes of) tourneys.

SamENole is a regular at the 30/60 Stud H/L game over at Stars.

Gank (Crew member Brett Yungblunt - sp?) is a big-time tourney player at many big sites, and JohnnyBax is an absolute monster in the Stars $100 rebuy tournaments (won a WSOP bracelet at Stud last year, too)....and don't forget players like Gigabet and Nordberg - both won WSOP Circuit events in the last couple of months.

Brett Jungblut.

According to the WSOP show I watched last night(1st event of 2005), Gank is no longer a member of the crew.

He's had a couple of cashes at this years WSOP

40th in the $2000 Omaha H/L 8/b picking up $3658
20th in the $5000 Omaha H/L 8/b picking up $7473

Thanks for the additions

I dont know too much about Gank and Gigabet, although I have heard Gigabet mentioned alot in SNG circles.

I didnt include JohnnyBax (aka pro Johnny Bax) or Nordberg (aka SlashMcGirk on Party) as they only came in with 1 final table each. However I think both of their credentials are great, and would tip my hat to both for sure.

Some of the guys in my list made 50 final tables! Thats not bad going. They must have 2 brains to play at that volume

As fate would have it, I bumped into Johnny Bax not long after the above post. Seemed like a nice guy. He said he was playing great, but losing. I guess we all know that feeling.
