Where do all the gobby people go?

I particularly notice it at weekends, but there seem to be various gobby people at the start of SNGs, yet very rarely any gobby people at the final tables of those same SNGs.

All the usual rubbish about "jokerstars", "lucky donk" when they are the only person that has made a donk bet so far, "you should learn to play" when their stats are 88/54 and have gone AIPF for the last 4 consecutive hands, and of course the inevitable "zzzzzzzzz".

Now obviously some of these people are eliminated simply because their play is so bad, but I'm wondering if some people are also using the early phases of a tournament to "trash talk" in the way that has been discussed in another thread here.

I have definitely seen some people play like idiots until the final table, and then only play two pair or better at the final table. Obviously I make a note to that effect.

So are they still in but have gone quiet, or have they disappeared?

Most of them have dissappeared .

Yes, that's my suspicion too. A lot of final-tablers are multitabling, so they don't have enough time to chat
