When those bad beats just keep on coming.

OK, I'm preaching to the converted here but I'm gonna post anyway just to give myself a break from the cruel game.

I've been doing a lot of 6-handed $10 SnGs at a 3D site called PKR recenly. Over the last month or so I've had some degrees of success but today I've been knocked out into 3rd place for 3 times in a row.

Nothing too unusual in that you say but, everytime, my all-in pre-flop bet was called by inferior hands. Twice my adversary hit straights while my big Ace with big kicker looked on helplessly.

Now while getting that "ere we go again" feeling as my opponent made their hands (yet again) I am comforted by the fact that it is precisely THAT sort of bad play by my opponents that have got my BR relatively healthy in the first place.

I think this is one of the MAJOR hurdles to get over in online poker - THE SAME TYPE OF PLAYER WHO OUTDRAWS ON YOU AGAINST THE ODDS, ARE THE SAME TYPE OF PLAYERS WHO HAVE GIVEN YOU THE HEALTHY BANKROLL IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY SHOULD NOT BE HATED, THEY SHOULD BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS!!

Anyway, that's my therapy over, I'm going back to the tables.

hehe very true.. first of all PKR is very soft.. can you give us some information about how much you started with and how much you got now? Anyways.. well yeah those people are the ones I look for.. however, they do hit sometimes. Today i had 3outers beat me around 4 times but im still ROI 50% today.. you gotta love them .. its the best way to invest your money.. when you're the overwhelming favourite.. for them, playing bingo would be more proffitable.

Agreed - I spend around 80% of my playing time at PKR. I LOVE the site. Only problem is, a lot of people find that the animations slow down the gameplay and I know some players find multi-tabling difficult (which is not a problem for me cos I don't do that). I like going back to playing on the clonky but faster and satisfying 2D sites after a while.

I was gonna reply to this but now I've changed my mind. As soon as I blow my trumpet and tell the whole forum, I just know I will go on a downward spiral. So i will politely decline to answer this.

Good decision. It seems whenever I post something about a good run Ive been having, the downswing hits almost immediately. I have vowed not to do it again, lol.
