When a site goes sour?

After a miserable May, June, July, and so so August, the cards turned in my favor some.

First a short stint at FT, lasted maybe a week, then it went south again, but then at PS, where I ran good for 3-4 weeks. It went south also, but until yesterday FT had been good to me for a couple of weeks.

My question is;

How do the site seem to be treating you, and is anyone (other than the luck bucket AG) running good at more than one site at any time, and is anyone running good for more than a month at any time?

I run nice at Tilt on Tuesdays, after 7pm eastern. And I'm not even trying to be funny. Tracked it for months and it's consistent so long as I: a. choose a good quit time and b. don't drink a lot.

I believe the psych explanation is probably that I coincidentally had a good run a couple of Tuesdays in a row which boosted my confidence which then turned the Tuesday thing into a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. Maybe.

Stars has never really liked me. I like Stars. No idea why the feeling isn't mutual

rain ,it helps alot that you are still hungover from the weekend , so just a little hair from the dog on tuesday works for you . pokerstars loves you too , it just thinks you drink to much ,try them on tuesday. I kid I kid .

I ran pretty good on bodog for a few months(small scale ) . but I cashed some out two months in a row and now I'm struggling. they didn't like that and pulled the doomswitch on me , lol .

I do ok on ps and ft , but as soon as I think I'm getting somewhere , BAM , back to reality.

Loadsa sites

I play quite a few sites where the aim is to turn the FR money into some kind of BR. Bodog and Titan are where I have my biggest rolls and I'm glad to say that over time they are consistently travelling in the right direction. I find that Stars and FTP are where I experience the most 'variance' (). It's frustrating in a way as these are probably the two sites you would want to play the most on as they have the largest traffic and variety of games (though a little on the pricey side and generally paying less places than elsewhere). I also play on the Microgaming network which can be quite ridiculous but actually a lot of fun as long as you don't take it too seriously and learn the little 'quirks' .

Agree. I have my streaks too, like everyone. I'm on a bit of a downswing right now despite playing decently. BR grows but the downswings are rough of course. I've taken to playing limit cash games recently since the downswings are less brutal than what I usually get with pot limit omaha.

When it is horrid if I want to play sometimes I just go to the 1/2 cent tables and play like a maniac to blow off steam. Other times I just do other hobbies (read, watch movies) and play less until I feel like mentally I want to play again.

Overall my trend is good at Stars and Full Tilt but variance hits even the top pros so I temper my pain with this knowledge.
