Whats higher flush or straight ?!?!?!?

hi guys, i would just know what is higher flush or straight ?
cause i was on a game and i had straight and the another guy had a flush and he won.....
just want to know that ....thx for any answers!

Flush beats a straight. That's why the other guy won the hand.

I don't know if you were serious are not but yes his flush beat's your straight, here's an ex.

Flush
A flush is a poker hand such as Q♣ 10♣ 7♣ 6♣ 4♣, which contains five cards of the same suit, not in rank sequence. It ranks above a straight.

Straight
A straight is a poker hand such as Q♣ J♠ 10♠ 9♥ 8♥, which contains five cards of sequential rank, of varying suits. It ranks above three of a kind and below a flush.

You should also go all in any time you have an Ace. That way you'll be properly funded when getting all of your money in with a straight against a flush.

Flushes beat regular str8s anytime. Had you had a str8 flush you would of won.

I agree (they do rank higher in a lot of other games, e.g brag). 4aces07 clearly doesn't though.

Well, that's just silly! To make a straight, you can use a run of 5 cards of any suit. A flush requires 5 cards of the same suit (as most of us know ), thereby making it harder to make a flush versus a straight.

...but the question was "What's higher?". A flush is still 'higher' in lowball - it's just that the lowest hand wins and oh god why are we even discussing this?

You are correct, the OP asked which was higher. It then immediately turned into a deluge of responses of how flushes beat straights. It is to those posts that I reply.
