What's the better way to play? I play the freerolls at Carbon pretty much every day and usually I make it to the top 100 with a good amount of chips. Today I made it there twice with about 20,000 in both. At that point that's an average to borderline low amount of chips because the blinds are big 400-800 and 500-1000 around that point. In the one I tried to see as many flops as I could and hope for good hit. In the other I Folded alot and tried to wait for premium hands. Well I hate to say it but I busted out 40th in the one and 29th in the other today. But what i'm asking is it better to try in see more hands late or try and wait for a big one. Keep in mind im in need of a double up not sittin pretty with like 50k or more.

re: What's the better way to play? poker If you feel that you could be short stacked as you near 100 left and the blinds are rising, try and see some flops with suited connectors, if you get a four flush, you may consider moving in, playing the short stack is a tough battle in a freeroll, people can call you down with nothing just because they have twice as many chips as you. If you can double up on your draw, its a risk, but the bigger your stack in a freeroll, the better your chances in the endgame.

I honestly think that you just got to go with your gut and if you feel like you have the best hand go for it. I hate getting blinded down near the end. I'd much rather go out fighting, trying for a big stack. But on the other hand it definately sucks when you put it all-in and your drawing dead or near dead at the end of a tourney. You want to have at least a coin-flip after all the work getting there.
