Yep we have, but i wanna know what has everyone had as a bad beat....

Competing state wide for Australian tourney, Queensland, in Brisbane for our local league...
I had pocket 10s i rasied 10 times blind,,,, everyone folded but one, so im thinking kings or aces.,

Im thinking awesome,,,, QUADS on flop,,,, holding my composure i check,,, test the water to see whats going on,,,
My opponent calls ALL IN....
Stalling for a while to make them wonder,,,, as i thought about what they had,,,, Aces meh,, i got quads they have pr ace high, Qs yeah they boated,,, but QUADs still kicks a boat.... So i call..
We turn our cards.,,,, whole table was quiet as we turned
I showed my 10 10,,, he showed is QQ
i read him right, full house,.,,,
we had a huge crowd around the table because at this stage we were nearly at final table,,,,,
Turn hit A,,,,, still safe with my QUADS
The river hit,, holding my breath and waited in anticipation,,,, Q

i was soooooooooo angry but OMG ,,,, who would have guessed
Quads vs Quads,,,,
I finished the tourney 14th out of 890+ people,.,, not too shabby for a chick that has only been playing for just over a year..
I was so mad, but who would have guessed,,
Preflop both pretty much the same,, turn i had the best by far hand,,,,
AND that river, that river,,, killed me.

I think my girlfriend that i had before i met my wife was the worst bad beat. She was hot, funny, great in the sack ... and then BAM runner runner CRAZY BI**H and I lost.

ChuckTS once hit runner/runner Aces to beat my set of Kings on the flop. (He had AK, for the bigger FH). 330:1 odds or something like that. It was his tournament though, so I don't feel so bad.

you should try pureplay the worst hand always wins on the river 82% of the time.But then i only play for points as only the site owners relations and friends win the big money games but i dont have proof of that just it seem to me that it is the same people who win the big money and i seem to go out early every time but win most points games lol

I pushed all in... thinking my 3 of a kind was good... but he killed me with his full house...

I think, this happened because I didn't raise pre-flop... had I raised, maybe he would have folded those 6s.

QFTIs this even that bad of a beat?

Just wondering...is it a bad beat if the best hand preflop won in the end?

was playing on AP poker back in the winter of 04. ( this is why i dont deposit anymore). i put 1k into the site i built it to about 3300 bucks. i have a problem with money mngmt bc i took all to one table. dealt qq in the BB. UTG raised , one caller, i was thinking i dont want to get into a big pot against AK so i will just call and see a flop. flop was 8 q 3 raindow. was thinking sweet nuts at the time. i checked to the raiser and he pet like half the pot, the caller push all in with 6500 or so i thought about it maybe ak by UTG and a set for the guy that pushed so i am ahead. so i called for all my chedda. (3200). the guy in first position called. so there is like 11k in one pot and 10k in my pot. cards are flipped and UTG had set of 8s the other guy had set of 3s and my Qs. the turn was a jack and the river was
a THREEEEEEEEEEEEE. i felt like i was punched and KTFO...couldnt move for about a good ten minutes..still to this day i think about that beat

I saw a guy get a strt flush once and the very next hand I had a (almost) nut flush with the AK of diamonds. I raised and he reraised. I quicky reraised again and he went over the top again. I thought what are the chances he hit 2 strt flushes in a row, but I just called anyway. Sure enough he had the strt flush again. What are the odds of that?

I feel absolutely no sympathy for losing your entire bankroll in one hand that you built up over a long time. If you don't care enough to use BRM, you don't deserve to be a long-term winner (as in, you won't win long term as you will always play out of your ability and bankroll).

Bad beats all? Not really. BRM important? Feck yeah.

But the longer I am here the meaner it seems.

Maybe I am just tired.

The fourth card was a 10, and the river a 10 too.

Here's my favorite suckout againt someone. I've won as a bigger dog, but this one was just insulting. I was tilting and shoved his three-bet pre-flop. He ends up playing the board!

Which is one out twice, and I was hit with 2out with one card to come twice in ~15 min playing one table this week. It looks bad because its quad/quad but the only longshot, running card bad beat in this thread is SP's, but even he was in preflop when it was 70+%...so it needs to be calculated by the odds at each street and how much money went in.

I missed this one, this is the real deal bad beat.
Others...OP, 10 bb when it 18% to win (needing a set without right odds), I doubt QQ had too much left behind to push QTT flop, still had 4% chance of winning, so if it was a potsized bet thats about 70% avg equity.
...ATT hand flopped quads, most likely slowplayed into the Royal, but not enough info...
Cumbuboom already mentioned the Aces on flop when money went in...Aces v fives, 600 was in as 80+ fav 4x as much was in with only 2 outs twice...the JK v 66 was a little behing preflop, way behind flop, drawing dead on the turn.

My worst bad beat was being handcuffed to the bed and whipped with a.........well you get the point

when i woke up next to combuboom after a wild party poker and my ass was hurting

It took my breath away. Literally, I couldn't move my lungs for like 20 seconds. I said nothing, but the table went wild.

This was nearly 3 years ago, and the memory still haunts me.
No amount of "You made the right call" or "the odds favored you over 100:1 when you went in" has ever helped in the slightest.

I guess the ONLY one worse is if I was holding AA when this happened. (yes ive seen the wsop vid)

The set kings v running tens is slightly worse statistically (unless there was a flush poss.), but running cards to absolutely nothing is...wow. You only quit for a week? You went back and cleaned this guy out, right?
