Ok I was playing a live tourny game and the blinds were 50/100. Majority of the players I was up against I knew nothing about.

The very first hand I look down at AA.

What do you do ?

depends on position, or if anyone else has entered the pot... but in most cases a 3-5 BB open will do just fine.

Here's what I did.

I raised to 700 UTG.
The guy to my left calls
The guy to his left calls
The guy to his left says WTF ,,, 700, I'll call that shit
The guy to his left says f%$# this mother F$%^#@, I call too.
The rest folds.

At this point Im upset, one I don't like being cursed at and to these freakin morons must all have AA.

The flop comes 9 2 J
I go all In and everone calls. LOL

The dip shit who called me a mother Fu#$%# Wins with K,9o.
He landed his second 9 on the river.

I almost went postal. lol,

Just wanted to get yall's opinion on this ?

utg 3x the bet
one to two position before button with no callers 4x
one to two position before button with callers, depending on how many calls if it just one id 4x if 2 or more id 5x,

I think you played it right, trying to isolate, but if everyone calls you are screwed, AA does not do well multiway. And if a donk w K high chases you all in, not much you can do.

My thought is this: AA does not hold up well against a half table of players so go all-in first opportunity! If you let too many players see the flop somebody is going to make a hand! The other option is to bet weak and hope another ace comes up.

I do agree with you larryT. But don't you think a bet of 700 (when the blinds are 50/100) should get the same result as going all in ?

This is a very beg bet and im representing a very big hand so wtf.......
I believe I just happened to sit down with a bunch of donks who obviously didnt give a rats ass. After the guy one that hand he started talking smack. lol

What can you do

I think the 700 bet was enough normally. But with a table like this, doesn't matter what you do. All in you probably would have had a few callers anyway.
If everyone is playing stupid, I would get out of the game, myself.

My questions would have been: rebuys or freeze-out, what type of tourney, how much drinking is going on lol???? lol. That's what I look at. Some of our live games if I waited for smart poker I'd blind out. At any of those tourneys I'd call in a heartbeat. I've watched a guy go all-in and walk over to rebuy before the flop was even dealt out several times in a row. All I can say is playing real poker that night sure added up to a great pot and he didn't walk out with it.

It basically is a freeroll, nothing to enter. But there is 100 dollars for first and 50 for second.

Why even play if your gonna act like this? It realy ruins it for all the serious poker players.

that is a typical freeroll attitude so if your going to play them your going to have to get used to it.
