What is your longest `card dead` run in a single MTT???

Hi chaps.

I`m playing the maniac rebuy on Party.

I`m very bored so I`ll pop this question.

What is the longest time you have been card dead???

I`ve now been playing for 2 hours 19mins and the only pocket pair I have had is 33

Won a few chips by flopping some hands but my poor heart is starting to sink everytime the first card is shown!!! It`s anxiety!!!

2hrs 21mins and no change

I only wish party poker would show you how many hands I`ve have seen!!!

2hrs 30 mins, no change. I know I`m gonna get AA soon, be forced all in and it will be bust!!!

I played roughly 120 hands in an MTT without having a single solid starting hand.

So, I gave up, starting playing rags and did rather well... reaching the FT and taking down 6th in a tourney of 800.

Funny thing is, once reaching the FT I got AA twice, KK once, and QQ twice.

***2hrs***57mins***

Pocket 10`s, pushes all in from middle position.

Oh no, 2 callers, 1 all in (so 2 all in)

One turns AKo, other 77.

And it holds

no such thing as card dead. good players make plays with rags and seize opportunities. big starting hands are overrated.

perfect example>> Won a $4 180 playing blind (hh inside)

There is in the maniac rebuy on Party.

U can`t play poker, u end up playing lottery.

So, I disagree.

U telling me if u r sitting with 44 and u have 3 raisers u r going to push all in??? Think not.

U can`t make plays if the people u r playing against will go all in with any 2 pic, and ace, any connectors, etc.

Unless you are outside the rebuy period and u have built up a big chip stack by gambling.

My opinion only, I respect yours ripptyde

P.S. I think saying in general you can win a big tourny without your share of decent cards is overated !!! Some people will muff from time to time - "every dog has its day" so they say !!!

actually that is a link to a cardrunners video that Annette_15 made when she won a $4.40 playing blind the entire tourney. She admitted to peeking once, but other than that one hand the entire tourney she had her hole cards covered. I just posted that because its a perfect example on how most players overvalue the strength of their starting hands and pass on opportunities in position. When people talk about being 'card dead' IMO it means they are waiting for golden starting hands and not exploiting weakness in position or making bold plays. Typically when I get into that frame of mind, I end up losing or getting the big hand I was waiting for cracked.
