| My goal is to start winning consistently and move up stakes. The past year I've been either at a steady flow or slightly downhill. My ultimate goal is to become pro and play poker for a living, I don't know if I can achieve that in a year. |

| I have been showing a profit (very small) most of 2007. What I do for a job leaves me 3-4 months during winter of inactivity. My goal for those months is to make "a living" off poker. I am not a high stakes player, so I am shooting for an average of $500 a week net profit. Last week: worked one day, didnt play poker that day. All other days profitable, none under $50 net. Net for the week $700 This week: Monday, $3.77 net profit. Tuesday $254.30 net profit. I know I will inevitably have losing days/weeks, just looking to average that $500 a week. |

| re: What are your 2008 Targets? poker In a whole year of poker? well ideally i would hope that i have enough to sit at the ivey deathmatch table without worrying about table. A more realistic one though is so that i have enough to play omaha high aginst hte top pros on full tilt without being worried about going broke |

| I emptied my full tilt account out 11/12/07 completely. I was inspired by the Chris Ferguson 10k challenge, I hope to do it in less time than he did (around 15 months i believe), while following the same rules he did. Right now I have used freerolls to build my account up to $8.39, I want to build it up even more so I can have more cushion when I decide to transfer from the play money to real money games. By the end of 2008 I want to have my bankroll at $10,000. It's a tough hill to climb, but I have a lot of motivation and determination. Good luck to everyone else with their goals! |

| My goal is to "bonus whore" every site I can join with rakeback.I would like to run up the measly $200 or so I have spread out between Bodog and Stars(+the $100 I'm starting my FT account with)to $10,000 plus. One more goal will be to try to run my free $5 at duplicate poker up to $20 so I can cash it out.Who ever thought of this idea must have been smoking major crack!!! |

| 2008 going to be a big year I hope. Among other things I will be moving to Europe for at least a year, if not much longer. Part of the reason I'm electing to do this is because my job there will allow me more time to focus on poker while providing enough income to live on. Added bonus of not dealing with boneheaded American politics regarding poker. (Or should that just be "boneheaded American politics" ?) So.. my goals for the year are.. 1) Become a consistent winning player at ring games. 2) By the end of the year to be consistently averaging at least $2000 profit a month. and oh yeah 3) Celebrate a Ron Paul victory in 08 (right there with ya chuck) Last edited by Tygran : 20th December 2007 at 11:40 PM. |

| re: What are your 2008 Targets? poker -Get myself into final tables and win most of them. -Win the full tilt cardschat freeroll (First have to stop finishing just outside final table). -Get another royal flush (just hit my first one today). -Keep grindig it out in lwo limit Omaha H/L and not loose nerves. -Rip up the Holdem tables in Macau. Additional goals that might not fit into next year: -Win a few of those WSOP bracelets -Win a APPT title -Make final table at EPT -Get sponsored -Find a hot girl who will love to massage me after my long sessions and listen to my bad beat stories And make money, be nice to people, and all that good stuff. |

I don't really need the $500 to live off every week, and don't have a set amount I move. I want to hit $500 to prove to myself that I can. I don't really "move up". I am comfortable playing $11 buyins or lower, and though I may occasionally play something bigger (if the payout looks good) it will probably be a while till I decide to play only the $30-50 range mtts. |

| Current poker cash (I detest calling it a "bankroll" when it is so small"): $287. Goals: Advance to NL$100 (meaning I have at least $2,000 in poker cash and am solidly beating NL$100) and become comfortable enough with my PL08 game to take that up to at least $.25/.50 tables. Eventually, I'd like to transition to playing only PL and NL 08, which I think is infinitely easier to beat these days than NLHE. |

With you 100% there. At least now he's raising money, he can get his name out there a little bit. I still don't expect him to win the nomination, but I'd like him to at least make a good showing and maybe even win a State primary or two. If he got elected, I would certainly celebrate. But if not at least his ideas will have gotten out into the public more and especially if we elect a Democrat this year, I'll sure be voting for one (as long as it's not Hilary, if it's her vs. a non-Paul Republican, I'll just cry and maybe write in Colbert). Hopefully people still remember Bush in 4 years and realize that neither Party is running the country particularly well and someone like Paul can win the election in '12. At least that's my hope. This probably should have been in the lounge section, sorry I wrote a bit too much here in the poker general section. |

OK so one more point on Paul and I'll stop. And the point is.... saying you will support ron paul in a thread on 2008 poker goals is not off topic! He is by far the best candidate you could elect to change Washington's attitude towards online poker. just something to think about. |

| re: What are your 2008 Targets? poker Restart my online bankroll from an initial deposit (probably start with $100 or $200 depending on my current level of disposable funds and to see if I can get a reload bonus when I play at PokerRoom or somewhere else with an initial deposit bonus) and build it up to $1000. For Live play, just continue to play the way I've been playing and move up to 10-20FL or 2-5NL blinds. Learn how to play other games, incl. Razz and Stud 8...working my way to being decent in each game and start looking to play HORSE. |
