| Waited half an hour to get a hand at party, the only one where I went all the way. Pair queens and hit the quads on the turn, to lose to a guy who hit a royal flush at the river. Luckily it was a low limit game, else i wouldve lost some sleep over it. More like a bad beat story, but still it was pretty shocking. First royal flush I ever saw. |

| In a tournament I took down two hands from the same person when we had the exact same hand. First was a battle of the blinds when I had J8. He complete the SB so I raised it to 3 BB and he called. Flop came J 4 5. He bet it out and I reraised him to see if he hit the J or the undercards. He folded and showed his hand saying he was afraid of his kicker. I laughed and showed him that I had the same hand. That torked him that I could reraise with it. Two hands later I get AQ suited and the same guy raises the pot so I call and we end up heads up again. Flop comes out 3 4 5. He bets about 1/2 the pot so I reraise again to see if he has overpair or if it was continuation bet. He stares at me and mucks again face up and says I know I had you but I just can't call. He flips AQ, I just had to show. He went balistic. I had just taken over 1/3 of his chips when it could have been split pots both times. He got up, ranting and raving that how could I do that bet. He was fuming for about 10 minutes. At one point I was afraid he might come after me. I have never laughed so hard on the inside but was afraid to show it. This is one reason you never show your cards unless you have too. He would have never know about either hand except he showed first so I had to show. |

| [quote=titans4ever;516140]In a tournament I took down two hands from the same person when we had the exact same hand.[quote] That is really funny. Too bad you couldn't have hit AA on the next hand to his KK. That would have been hilarious, but probably would have got you into a fight. I don't really understand how people get so upset. He played the same cards preflop, I guess it is about agression and reads. I'm also certain that the second time you bet out, you understood that he would fold unless he had a better hand. I don't think anyone understands that when you become predictable people will take advantage of it. Either one of those hands could have been 27o and you probably could have taken it down. Anyway, that is really funny. |

| re: what would you say is the most shocking thing that has happened at a table..... poker Three players, post flop. I have kings, nothing for anyone on the flop. UTG bets. Second player bluffs big but not truly pot committed. I come over the top all-in. UTG folds. Second player calls. Much to my surprise he has QT off-suit. Turn comes queen and the river ten.
