| what would you do after this BS ok so i play exclusively at fulltilt now, great bankroll but it took alot of hard hits today. 1st scenario - playin with 60 dollars in 25 50 cent blinds. guy with about 130 dollars at the table raises to 2$, i reraise to 8$. he calls. flop comes out to 6 J 9. he bets 5$, i shove all in, ....he CALLS, turns over AQ...the turn and river both come QQ and im out of 60 dollars. god seriously. 2nd scenario - playin with 50 dollars in 25 50 cent blinds. KK in the BB. guy raises to $1.5, i decide to smooth call. flop comes out to Q K 3. he bets 10 dollars, i raise to 30$, he pushes all in i call, he turns over AA, river comes with an A, im out 50 bucks. 3rd scenario - playin with 75 dollars in 25 50 cent blinds. AK in the SB i raise to $1.75 with 2 callers. flop comes to A 3 A. i bet out 3.50 and both call. turn comes J. i bet out 9$, one guy folds, the other pushes me all in. i call and he turns over A 7...river comes with a flippin 7...of course. in your opinions what should i do next, i played these hands perfectly and somehow got screwed....should i stop for awhile..stick to tourneys or what. someone gimme some advice, any advice please. |

3 losses shouldn't affect you much. Just realize that you should always be trying to improve your game while realizing that long-term results should be your focus. Now if you go through a few weeks of this stuff, then it should be time for a big change. Last edited by Stick66 : 27th April 2009 at 3:10 AM. Reason: "weeks" |

| You examine your play. And if you conclude you played it well, and not much to learn from it, not much you can do - except try not to cry over spilt milk. Such is the nature of NL I guess. The variance in any given day could be great. Just know that in the long run, you'll get is back with solid play. There is no logical reason I can think of to 'stop playing for awhile' unless you feel the losses are tilting you or just want to step back and reexamine your play. Scenario 1, the guy is an absolute idiot, IMO. Not much you can do there. Ya know, you'd think those stakes would be high enough to run into this brand of donk. Scenario 2, the guy was not 'quite' as much an idiot. If you didn't have KK or QQ, you could have had QK. Then again, a reraise pre-flop might have given him cause to think twice on that flop. He was thinking you had top pair maybe. Scenario 3, he just wouldn't believe you had the last ace. Just unfortunate. |

| Yeah its variance and you got unlucky 3 times in a short period of time. Only advice I can give is not to play on until you clear your head. Once you realise there wasn't a lot more you could have done about the 3 situations and you got your money in ahead, the sooner you will be back playing clear headed poker. Good luck. |

| re: what would you do after this BS poker quit poker obv!! the mighty pokergods put you on their doom-list and sent the "doom-switch"-request to fulltilt already. So you should cash out the rest of your bankroll before it gets busted completely. If you got no valid cashout-amount anymore you can also send everything to the account RuFF97 and you may try live-poker instead of the online-stuff.. I heard its not that rigged (depends on the dealer fo sure..) ! good luck! |

| badbeats happen... You can't win every session. Sounds like you played those hands well. You had the best odds, but lost, and that happens. If you play well, these losses shouldn't affect your bankroll in the long run, as long as you're withing your limits. |

But seriously though, I've heard worse stories from close friends. These things happen and I think the best way to deal with them is to reassure yourself that YOU played the hand right, your opponent got REALLY lucky that one time and will likely make the same mistake again and again until the turn and river doesn't make their full house and they bust themselves badly. Don't feel sorry for yourself or angry at the other player for sucking out, it won't do your game any good. Just chill out, relax, and slaughter ten young virgins at the poker gods altar. |

| In short... you have a hand make sure to win it before river if the pot is big enough on the limits that you play. Don't get greedy Greed is what makes you poor. Most likely you will not win as much at a time but in the long run your bankroll will increase. But that's what i would suggest but then again I'm not a pro and don't have balls of steel |

| Play at cap limit and lower your variance if you tilt easy? I actually can't figure out why people don't like cap except for people that use poker as an income. I figure people that try to make money off poker or must move up stakes and have the capacity to milk a "fish" could see a cap as getting in the way of income. If you're just in it for fun though a cap limit seems like a good control on variance while giving you the enjoyment of poker. In this scenario you would have been limited to a loss of 15 dollars for each of those hands at the 30xBB cap. Also there is always SNGs.... |

I've only played cap a couple times in Omaha HL, there is NEVER any action at those tables at FT, and not sure why. To me it seems like a weird cross between limit & pot limit. |

| Short of taking your money to a live casino and or trying a differant poker site for awhile there is not much to suggest here. Bad beats happen, stupid people play poker too, most of the time it is profitable when there there. Darn luck factor took over. Better luck next time |
