If you could change one thing in the poker world, what would it be ?

My answer: one tournament is not enough for a world champion title (live and online), there has to be a series of tournaments...anybody can win in a single tournament (luck factor)

Get rid of the flush, then the any 2 suited card monkeys will have to play a decent game instead of relying on luck.

They should double or triple the buyin for the WSOP main event so there would be fewer amateurs, more pros at the final table.

Hmmm, yeah casinos in every state sure would be nice. Also, I'm a little surprised no one mentioned ending all the debate about the legality of online poker and the UIEGA. Get that mess straightened out so we can get more quality sites that will accept US players.

If I could change anything about poker, I would probably change the fact that you are allowed to wear things like hoodies, sunglasses, and hats. I feel like a large part of poker (live anyway) is reading people and wearing these types of items is almost like cheating.

I think it would be interesting to see how the sunglasses people play without them.

I would make online poker legal at the Federal Level (in the USA) and that would take care of problems like the one in Washington State.

As the saying goes there has to be one in every crowd or in this case every state.

I've been saying this forever. Everyone laughs at me but I really think it would put more skill back into the game and that J8s would be mucked as it should be instead of calling my AA 4-bet.

Make a straight ranked higher than a flush. For Hold'em anyway. I've never done the math it just seems like it's harder to hit a straight in Hold'em rather than a flush. I'm probably wrong though.

Do the math, the flush is harder to hit thats why it's ranked higher :P

I'd have those girls on High Stakes Poker, you know those 2 really buxom blondes, be naked on TV. I'd also want the girls who bring the money out when it is heads up on WPT come out in see through lingerie.

I'd also want to see Casinos with brothels, massage parlors and strip clubs in them.

Poker becomes compulsory for all over 18s, 1 hour per day minimum. Govt controlled wesite. They collect the tax then ship 1% weekly to my swiss numbered account.

For online poker I would get rid of late registration and re-buy. Absolutely hate late registration.

For me its simple... Never get bad beaten!! that is it.. i would prefer to lose when i was wrong but always win when im right rather then win a few by luck an lose loads by unlucky sucks.

(This basically includes villains who go for a long walk to the river to catch a fish aswell)

I absolutly love the late registration, whenever I have used it I usually get in at the last min possibleand my stack on most occasions is at the average or just below it.

Me too, as balrog910 says below, it adds more $$$ to the prize pool, and if some donk sucksout on you at least you can still continue and then take all of the donks chips.

How can your stack be average if you late reg? Surely if you register normally, everyone has say 3000 chips, average is 3000, it then goes up for every person eliminated. Say in a 500 man tourney, 100 go in the first hour and you late reg, the average would be 3750...

I would get rid of the rule that you have to be 21 to play in casinos. You can be 18 and play for money online but you have to be 21 to play in casinos, that don't make a lot sense to me. Plus casinos could make even more money if they expended the age limit to 18, (I know there rich as it is and they don't make the rules, just saying.)

I'm sure this idea is going to go over like a lead balloon.

I would get rid of 99% of the Freerolls currently offered. They allow bad players to continue playing poker for money (even if only a pittance) without having to put money into the poker economy. I'd much rather have zero FRs and have FRWs depositing every pay day than 1 thousand FRs a day where fishes get their poker fix but 90% of them don't bring any money to the tables.

I say 99% of the FRs because the only ones that should stay are those offered as a reward for depositing and playing real money online.
