At what times is it most profitable to play? Has anyone consistently discovered that they play better at certain times vs other times? For example evening sessions giving better results than early morning sessions? And what times do you think most bad players play at? This might be hard to answer because not only can you be playing against someone in a different time zone, they might be as far away as Russia or Germany. I think NY 8-10PM is when most donks and regs come out to try their luck. Any thoughts?

It is no doubt easier to clean up on the weekends. Im guessing its because all the 9-5ers who dont get the felt time in as most of you guys are more easily taken when they hit the tables on the weekend. You can sit at the 2.15HU tables on full tilt on a saterday night and rake it in. Add a bit of Toasted to the lack of experience, and its "Chaching"

Well I am in Texas not sure it matters what state you are in but I usually onlly play around after 8 pm as well sometimes closer to midnite and I tend to see alot of donks.. So it might be that the better more committed players are playing at regular work hours? Cuz I hardly ever get to play since I work so I wouldnt really know about this time slot, is that the case?

This has been asked before. IMO: Weekends have a lot of people. More people means more fish. It's just a matter of picking a table that has them. Right after people get off work, during weekdays, they're more prone to unwind/blow off steam by playing some hands of poker. These people are prone to be less goal orientated or just plain wild.

re: At what times is it most profitable to play? poker i think that the time of the day doesn't have any correlations with profits in poker because everyone in that table most likely are in different time zones but maybe the day of the week does matter because more people are playing on the weekend and maybe more willing to gamble thus playing weak.

Well, ive notived that there are always more players online during the mid afternoon and evening times in the USA. since i dont live there, most of my play occurs when there are only about half the players on line. i wouldnt think that it would matter so much. i would imagine there are good players and bad ones at all times. i cant really see any legitimate way of ruling on this issue. perhaps just play when ever it feels right for you, when you believe you'll do better. i think its quite psychological. anyways, gl 2 u in what ever time you play.

re: At what times is it most profitable to play? poker IMO, more thought should be put into playing good poker not what time is best, also what time is best for 1 member may not be what is best for another as we are all over the world, like you said.

Read in Daniel Negreanu's book that early Sat or Sun morning is good to catch the guys who have been losing all night who are at that point less than optimal. I don't know because I'm less than optimal at that time whether I've been up or not. Also the book said that right after major televised sporting events players tend to flock to the tables. Can't verify that either.

I find more European players, who I think generally play more agressively in the am's, central time. But they also tend to think they're being bluffed more often than not, which can result in some nice big wins if you have the nuts.

You can guess as to which days/times more fish are on, but unless you are willing to rearrange your schedule so that you are in optimal mental shape at these times, or just lucky enough to already play during these times I don't think it's profitable to do so. I think you should focus on playing your best whenever you play whenever it may be. If your not playing good poker yourself at that particular time then the whole thing is pointless. This is an interesting thing to think about though. But anyway like I said unless you are devoted enough and able to rearange your schedule to these times you might as well forget about it and just focus on doing your best whenever you do play.
