What time of day do the fish bite best? It seems to me that at certain hours of the day, players on some sites seem less skilled. Other times of the day they seem tougher to beat. I don't really have anything concrete, but I think I see some consistency. Would love some input.. please include the sites. Aloha

doesn't really matter, just go to sharkscope.com and use the tournament selector to find sng's with lower roi averages. secondly, on sharkscope under additional self-search options, you can use your personal history of games based off of time of day you so you can see at what time you win the most if its really that important to you

re: What time of day do the fish bite best? poker I find Sundays I can bring in a lot of profit...possibly just coincidence, but there seem to be a greater amount of weak players at the lower limits at least. The weekend in general seems to be when the casual players usually come out.

Yeah, Sunday seems to be the best time to find the real fish (ATMs) on Stars. Also, Friday and Saturday night can see some serious action, even at the micro tables. My PT database has usually listed the 8-9 AM Est (roughly) as my highest BB/100 period, but that's probably down to me playing my best poker in the morning.

I'm California, and find evenings good. This leaves most any Europeans still playing in a dazed and confused state of mind as they should be asleep, and its getting late for East Coast players and they are thinking about sleep, or drunk, or both!

re: What time of day do the fish bite best? poker Weekends, night time... varies by site, because some have more players from particular parts of the world, but basically you want to be playing against the recreational players and drunks. One simple measure I'd guess would be checking how many people are on the site at different times - when there are the most people on the site that's when the non-full-time players are on there - the recreational players. When you've got the minimum number of players on there it's more likely to be those that are on a lot of the time, at a guess. Of course, finding a table with some spoilt rich person who's got time on his hands could happen during those quiet times... so it's probably better to check the tables to see flop percentages, aggression rates, etc... rather than expecting to get a good table at a specific time.

I have found Friday/Saturday night...9pm pacific and later to have a higher probability of finding some drunk willing to stack off with anything from Jack hi to second pair. Seems like the east coast partiers are hitting the tables and maybe some dazed overtired euros too,

Yeah, Friday/Saturday evenings US time = lots of drunk college kids playing = awesomeness. Best part? Thanks to the joys of timezones, Friday/Saturday evenings US time equates to Saturday/Sunday afternoon here, so I don't even need to stay up late to get in on the action

re: What time of day do the fish bite best? poker I seem to do my best work late at night (10-3 am central standard time). I do not like to play mornings. For some reason Euros (no offense ot any here) beat me up pretty good so I try to avoid. Take on the drunks and you will have an advantage especially in sngs and mtt's. Drunks have no patience and you can pounce.
