| re: What is "tight" play? Need input here! poker I usually see between 15-20% of flops. If I look at the stats and I'm at 30% I will slap myself in the face for playing way too lose preflop. Then again I don't normally play suited connectors/Ax suited from early/middle position which alot of good players do, so this percentage might be low for some more LAG players. Unlike the post above, when I'm at 80% of showdowns won I'm normally down a bit of money, opposed to when I'm just slightly above 50% I normally have made lots of money. Doesn't seem to make sense but that's how it always works out. Just find out what's working for you and stick with it. |

| If you really want a definition of tight, watch the video put out by hellmuth a while back on playing "super tight". Basically there's 10 hands you should consider going in with pre flop, outside of that you should be folding. I don't particularly like said style, but whatever works for you. But seeing almost 1/3 of the flops is definitely not tight at all. |
