What are these Team Pro [Challenger] players?

Hey all, not sure what this means. Anyone know? Basically if you check out the pokerstar pros lists I saw two from Greece.

You have your standard Team Pro, Team Online etc but I noticed something called "challenger"

Anyone any ideas? The only one logically one is people "challenging" to become a team pro but that seems daft.

Maybe they're challenging Isildur1?

Well I assumed it's a challenge of some kind but why would they be listed as a team pro and have a team pro status badge on their avatars?

It's like saying why haven't all of Isildur1s challenge matches had this status?

Just doesn't make sense why they would be given a Team pro status just for playing a team pro player..

Perhaps they are the ones who won the qualifyer tournaments to play him.

Not sure what it means but first time ive heard of challengers going to see what i can find out and post it back..
