| Probably the same. PT3 & HEM are the best software programs out there and that's why they are the most popular. I use HEM and love it. It has helped me tremendously in various ways in helping to plug leaks that I have in my game and in helping to read my opps. I read an article somewhere that spoke about what programs the pro's use, it was quite a while ago. You might want to try googling for the info. |

| Poker Tracking - keeping track of all of your hand histories and breaking them up into how often you and your opponents do each action. - Holdem Manager - PokerTracker3 - Poker Office(don't know anyone who still uses this) Hand Analysis - along with the 3 above, this will allow you to do away from the table analysis of certain situations you might get into or did get into and will show your equity and probability. - PokerStove - HERanger SNG Tools - These basically will analyze your play and tell you when the optimal push or fold situations come in to play and what you should do based upon your stack size, opponent's stack sizes and your cards. These use ICM(Independent Chip Modeling) to determine the best decision of play. - SNG Wizard - SNG Power Tools - Google More... Multi-Tabling Aid Programs - When you are multi-tabling, especially a lot of tables, every second is precious, so these will help by making some of the tasks down to just a keypress. Whether it is raising 1/3 pot, 1/2 pot, folding, etc. You can do it in an instant instead of dragging your mouse over and clicking. They can also open new tables/register in SnGs for you as well. Some are also just regular windows programs that can help people with making things easier. - TableNinja(PokerStars and FullTilt) - automates processes to a keystroke. - AllSnap - Will auto snap a window to the edge of your screen so there isn't an overlap. - AutoHotKey - there are scripts all over the internet for this program that will automate processes for all kinds of things(not just poker programs) down to simple keystrokes. I'm sure I'm missing stuff, just wanted to make it simple for people who didn't know what some of the stuff was. |

| I used the free trial of poker tracker 3 it is a good record keeper and if you take a little time it is not to had to use not sure if it is worth it for the money I think probably keeping your own records is not a bad option but i guess time consuming so yea..thats it |

Most casino's do not let you have phones at the table... Kinda kills that idea |

There is also a tracker called pokercopilot which I used previously. Its not as good as HEM/PT3 but it has a hud and basic stats and is far better than nothing. Apart from those, you could always run bootcamp/VMWare and run windows on your mac |

I'm not a fanboi either way (like you obviously are), but each platform has their pros and cons. I wouldn't buy any other laptop then a Macbook Pro. |

| Yea, you can write whatever you want, but could risk someone seeing what you're writing, not that it would exactly be that bad(I actually have a friend that has acronym's for everything when he takes notes live, not only to make it quicker, but also so it's a little less understandable for foes). Along with David Williams, Gus Hansen has used voice recorders on many occasions to keep his notes intact. Also a very good method, but you'll want to walk away from the table to do this, otherwise, obviously, the whole table can hear you. |

| re: what software do you use poker i tried out pieces of software but if im honest i think it over complicates my game. I start playing because of stats rather than my usual playing style and normal math. I wouldn't recommend any programs |
