What should I do? Alright, well after a total tilt session last night and also losing 50 to the online casino I have screwed myself and lost 100 dollars in one day. By far my biggest loss and I know it was just stupid play by me so I cant blame anyone else but myself. I have left myself with 95 dollars in my bodog account and am wondering what you guys think I should do. I am a winning player at both low limit cash (10max and 25max) and low limit SnGs (up to 10 dollar SnGs). I kind of have to 2-table at this point if I even play b/c if I dont I get extremely bored and impatient. Alright, well now that my bankroll is low I have a decision to make. I am definately taking a break for a few days before I attempt any of these just to make sure I get all that bad play and tilt out of my system. After my break, Should I: 2-table 4.40 beginner SnGs 2-table 5.50 regular SnGs 2-table 10max NLHE Put it all on a couple different big money MTTs and hope to get lucky Put it all on a couple different big mondey SnGs and hope to get lucky

re: What should I do? poker ^^^^^^ Take a few days off! Seriously! I have to do it all the time. When I first started playing poker and would lose money I would get upset and be so frustrated that I focused more on getting my money back then playing the game. I had to disipline myself to quit after I lost so much and give it a break. I'd come back and play a whole lot better. I'd take 3 days off, get lots of rest and make sure when you come back that you don't think about the negatives or bad experinces.

well i took 1 day off and started my 4.40 beginners 2-tabling. 6 tourneys later, down 12 more dollars. 3 tournaments i was out early by some donk catching a 2 or 3 outter on the river on me. I just cant catch a break at all lately. Playing a 3.00 turbo now and if i lose it im done for atleast 3 days.

ROCK UP! When ya get hit that hard, play low NL and play like a rock. It's tough, it's a grind (thats why they call it grinding) and build up your bankroll. It may be slow but once your back in your money management coomfort level then you can take a few chances again. Even 1 table if you have too, the focus is building the bankroll.

re: What should I do? poker Well, with a bankroll that low you should only really be playing the $5 max buy-in NL tables (according to traditional poker wisdom which say buy in for no more than 5% of your BR). Me? I'd shove the whole lot into a big tourney. Possibly one where I would allow myself 2-4 rebuys. Then, if or when I lose my money, I'd take a day or two off and reload afresh and start from scratch. But remember, when you do reload (and if you wanna play those $25 max buy-in NL tables) you should lay down $500 into your bankroll balance.

You need a break, you were supposed to take a few days out and only took a day and got unlucky which will increase your tilt. Playing 2-table and being an impatient person is a recipe for disaster at this moment in time. Your fooling yourself by thinking you can cope because all it takes is one bad hand to push you back on tilt. Im on a break after losing to runner, runner flush after pushing $20 on the flop with a set.

re: What should I do? poker Don't worry about the $100, i've lost more than that in a day and i've won more than that in a day. you cant turn the clock back, so you're looking just to increase your roll from 95, not to get back to 195. Dont 2 table, especially at Bodog where you cant see what is going on at the table you're not playing, and don't play at too low a level, when you probably wont care whether you win or lose. I'd single table $10 SnG's if you really are successful at them.

Here is what you need to do: You said "well after a total tilt session last night" You MUST learn to stop TILTING!! Your money will keep leaving you if you do not stop TILTING! When the hand is over forget about it. Just because you lost a big hand does not mean you can't play solid poker and come back and win!! You Said "I kind of have to 2-table at this point if I even play b/c if I dont I get extremely bored and impatient." No! You shouldn't play 2 tables because you are bored! You should play 2 tables to "up" your hourly rate. Find something else to do while you are 1 tabling. Take a note on every player at the table, study opening raises, limping, all that on the players at the table. Other things you could do is reading on CC, Reading a book, listening to music or some other thing. Although I DO NOT do these things myself, I think it is better than 2 tabling for being bored! After saying all this I would suggest 1 tabling the $4.40 beginners SNG tables.

Thx for all the advice guys. The good news is that the other day was the first time i really went on tilt in about 2 months. When I first started out I would go crazy, tilting all the time. It is probably the biggest thing that I have worked on in my game and I continue to work on it. I actually played a couple 3.30 turbos just for fun earlier and won both of them. I was back on my A game. I have to work a lot in the next couple days so I wont really even have time to play, which is a good thing for me. I have put the losses and the tilt session behind me though and I think when I do come back in a few days I will be back better than ever. Again thx for all the advice guys.
