What is the percentage of placements for winning tourney players.

I was wondering for tourney pros what percentage rate do they regularly place in tourneys. What percentage of the time will they final table. I realize there are probably a lot of variance but would like yalls opinion.

I'm not a pro, but Ive made the same amount of money playing poker this year than in my actually job, so I can possibly help you with my stats...

This is just from one site, full tilt, in which I play at mostly. This is just 2010...

I would love to see the stats about the pros to see who is the most consistent performer

Which ones do you want to see? (because you can look any of them up online).

Typically in higher buyin MTT's, the top winning players will be ITM ~9-12%. In lower buyin & in micros this number will usually be higher, 15-25% is not uncommon.

Currently 34players left in PokerStars "SuperTuesday" (45 get paid, $1,000 buyin).
I could post a couple screenshots of some of the players who are still left in it... to give you an idea. DuckU is still in it & he's been quite successful (over $1.6million in profit from MTT just on Stars).

Doesn't show "ITM" or ROI but pretty easy to do the math from 'avg.profit/avg.buyin' ie. DuckU 3,841 games played, avg.profit $435.65, avg.buyin $215.29 435.65/215.29 = ROI +202%
Profit 3,841 x $435.65= $1,673,331

Here's a couple screenshots of players left in it (Joe Cada still in it). Actually lots of really good players still in it (rdcrsn from PokerPwnage, hoodini10, sketchy1, arsenal... the list goes on. Lots of the players who go deep in this tourney will have profit over 1/2 mil. (just on Stars).

There are TONS of them & if you look at the volume they're playing... it's pretty insane! (5,000 to 10,000 mtts is not that uncommon... & 'again' remember this is just on 'one' of the sites they play on)
There's so many names I wouldn't know where to begin. Some big ones -> ShaunDeeb (1.4mil), Moorman1(1.2mil). Remember, this is just on PokerStars.. these guys play the majors on alot of the sites.
DuckU took this tournament down last week.... would be cool to see him do it again!

WOW thats some awsome information. I was ruffing out my play and was wondering how it compared. But it really is no comparison because I am playing cheap right now. Roughly .28 inthe money. Mostly tourney play at forum sites.
