What are the 'nuts'?

I keep see'ing people using the word 'nuts' around here and other poker related websites! Now I assume they are not referring to their genitalia

- so can somebody please enlighten me...

The best possible hand when the cards come out.

example if you hold AJ of spades and the board comes 10s Qs 7d you have the nut draw to the royal flush or nut str8 if the turn comes a ks then you have the nuts cause no other hand could beat you.

NUTS=Best hand possible like you had Ac As flop comes Ad-Ah-2s. You have the nuts or also known as the absolute nuts!

The nuts is the best possible hand given the cards that have so far been revealed.

However it is entirely possible that some members of this site are in fact referring to their genitalia. So be sure to check.

a problem with the "nuts" is when u confussed ur hand with the nuts, like u have A/A and flop is A T 3 J 2 so u think u have the nuts but the really nuts is K/Q
