What mentality do you need for the 3 kinds of poker formats?
Hi all.
Just can`t win a bean playing ring games, so I was just interested to know what kind of mentality or mindset you guys think you need for... Ring/ cash games MTT SNG`s I find I`m stronger playing MTT`s, with SNG`s next. Ring games, well... I think if u have a MTT mentality u r used to having to make decisions based on the whole tourny, with the same applying to SNG`s. Ring games just seem to be based around people pushing a lot and then topping up. I`m playing MTT/ SNG`s around the $5 - $20 buy ins and ring games $0.50/ 1.00 Fixed and $0.10/ 0.25 Pot or NL. I am playing mainly Omaha 8. I wonder if when playing a tourny there is a definate finish line, but when playing a ring game there is not - unless u make one I suppose? |

Headsup is where the real money is imo, but it takes a while to learn. Also a lot of action
, you could make a goal for yourself when you are playing ring a certain amount of money for instance or a certain time span. Mainly people that i know who play HU stop when the fish leave and they dont get games or if they are REALLY tired. |
