What makes you tilt?

Bad beats used to make me tilt but they don't seem to so much any more now, as I know I can't stop them happening.
What makes me tilt now is when I think I played a hand badly I feel annoyed at myself and then lose my focus on the game.
I have a significant tilt problem.

just try use the fact tha ur tilting in a good way
if ur tiliting, then ou know your playing a hand wrong..try look at it and say
"ok, i piss my self off when i do thaat, si i wont do that"...if its heads up or something, just press the time button for a couple of hands, and keep potsvery small.. so if you tilt, it wont cost much...if its a ring or tourney game, then sit out for 2 minutes and use a punch bag

Fish & bad regs in god mode tilt the hell out of me every time. Example: I 4-bet to $55 with AKo, fish calls with 22. Flop comes A82, and I stack off for my remaining $145. RAGE.

Things that make me tilt is bad beats such as 5% chances of my opponents sucking out on me in a big tourney and late stages.... Also, late in tourneys and you're opponents sucks out with a hand he was dominated with and comes back to take you out a few hands later and either you miss the money or the main prize....

River suckouts which I have been suffering from way too often lately. Gotta love online poker ....

Oh you mean in poker.... Well I also no longer tilt over bad beats 2 things make me tilt 1 more than the other. The one that can make me tilt slightly is getting counterfeited I would rather you hit your ace against my 44 than for the board to come KK77J. The other is when people think they made a great call with 5 7 off after a preflop raise and the flop is 5 8 10 and I bet pot and they call and hit a 7 on the turn only to crack my KK,QQ,AA, A 10s......

Hey now, I never said I disliked anyone; to each his own. The question was what tilts you. Am I not allowed to be tilted by people that don't like country music?

Well I would essentially agree with you that a lot of what is classified today as "country" is shite. At the very best it could be considered a hybrid such as pop country. But there is still some real country out there that is pretty good as well.

this is starting to sound like level2 poker thinking... or perhaps... people who are thinking that I'm thinking that I have a problem with people who are thinking that I'm thinking I have a problem with people who dislike country music. (yah... I've been playing too long of sessions lately).

what tilts me... mouthy donks in chat, especially the ones who are 'minraising' while on SB to a couple/few limpers. wtf is with that?

Gettin disconnected while I'm in a hand! By the time I get back, I'm pissed, my blood pressure is up from flinging around the f word at the putter, I'm trying to figure out who won the hand (or if I would have won - which just turns out to up the level of tilt, lol)
The second thing is the rude argumentative, arrogant butthole at the table; you know, the one that will go all-in like 8 times in a row & get so lucky that u think maybe he should be out buying lotto tix. He puts me on tilt - for a few min's. Then my revenge is waiting to set a trap for him - cuz, you know, he's reliable in his play!

you, aswell as a bunch of other poker players have this same problem.. including myself... the best advice i can give is to just change the atmosphere.. put on some good music.. clear your head.. just something to equalize your thoughts again..

I tilt when i am too tired, Tiredness takes over and donk there we go!

Indeed, being tired after some 5 hours play in a big MTT at 3am does tilt me at times...
Also having folded a playable startinghand to a preflop overbet / donkraise and then watching my wouldhavebeen quads or such hit the board...

Tilting blows, but you can control it, whenever you catch a bad beat just think about all the bad beats you have dealt out in your time, and also listening to music is also a good tilt remedy, when you take a bad beat...change the song or cd, it will take your mind off, you will see how helpful that can be.

Can i just say that if you feel like your tilting you should try and play small ball poker.. this works for MTT and ring game strategy settings. some times it helps to fold a few hands and take a deep breathe before starting agan.

Don't feel bad about your past history of tilting. i myself worked my bankroll up to 123 bucks from nothing and lost it all in a night because i got 2 outered on a river for 1/3 of my remaining money at the time.

I think that if you can detect when you feel like your starting to play hands badly it helps to take a step back.. even for just 5 minutes to calm your mind. this is what i have found useful

Bad beats happen, hell I've caught some miracle rivers and flops. But, showing down and having someone hit runner runner is something that I'll never live down.

I tilt when my all in, dominating hand, gets beat. E.g AK vs A4 and villain, ok donkey, hits his 4.

Not being able to play poker without non stop distractions.

I tilt when i play great solid poker in a tournament...than after a good solid 3 - 4 hours i make one mistake...and that one mistake costs me the whole tourney in which i could have made a good cash...

Honestly... I can keep my cool pretty well with bad beats... even if I get bad beat after bad beat all day long....

What really makes me go on tilt is when I a) drink alcohol and b) I am bi-polar and when my Seroquel wears off then I start to make irrational decisions... I become one of those ace rag players that goes all in (lol).

So it's kinda funny when you think about it in a way... I can be in bad beat city and not tilt just as long as I am sober and on my meds...

having a bad beat....its the worst i need to log after that and relax because if i dont i will lose like 5k....its like those guys on 2m 2million they hit watermelons when they lost or on tilt haha
