What makes you tilt The worst thing that makes me tilt is the player who always beats me. I have a couple of people who have consistently drawn out on me and busted me out of a tournament or taken my stack down. This is a singular form of tilt because it only affects my play against that opponent. Maybe a revenge factor, but I have a hard time playing my regular game because I want some payback and I make mistakes trying to get it. The only way to beat it is to play that player like you play everyone else. Easier said than done.

never ever ever ever ever target an individual player at any table or tournament you play on no matter what the outcome of your hands, have something else to concentrate on during long bouts of poker(something in the background helps (radio ma be).

As for what makes me tilt, the same guy bad-beating me a couple times will do it. I start playing looser against them, so the third time he usually puts a legitimate beat on me which sobers me up or knocks me out. Random people sucking out on me isn't a big deal. I just don't like the same guy doing it. Maybe deep down I think I'm owed some sort of justice?

Thankfully I've gotten better at not tilting as much and handling it better when I do. I could care less who it is, but when I have long downswings is when I'm most prone to tilt. You know, the session where your good hands never hold up, you never hit your draws despite the idiots giving you great odds, your pairs never set and you see the big pots after missing a set, etc. No one hand ever does it but after a while the cumulative effect is the worst. I'm definitely getting better at this but that's when I'm most prone to tilting.

i myself have experienced numerous forms of tilt, but the worst one by far is when your on tilt and you doint even know it, thats what you need to look out for, because it happens to everyone throughout poker so all you have to do is monitor how you play at all times, and stay focused

Second guessing myself is my biggest source of tilt right now. If I am put in an either or situation where I am not sure whether to call or fold, I will start running the hand over and over in my head and lose focus on the game in front of me.

"Running real bad." Yea that's what will do it for me too. But I never take anything personally in a game against specific players and never try to get revenge. Just understand that that player who bad beated you or keeps drawing out is just playing his cards he isn't out to get you or anything.

1. When I shove the pinball machine too hard - my groin is a real thrusting machine... 2. People that keep putting zzzzzzzzzzzzz in chat, when there is nobody taking a particularly long time to decide what to do, or "experts" telling others how to play when we're only playing in a freeroll. That doesn't necessarily cause me to play any worse (that would be quite difficult in my case, anyway ) but it does cause me to post numerous facetious comments in chat, which can in itself be a little distracting from the task in hand...

boredom. when I don't get a hand in ages and then I either go in all guns blazing with mediocre hand or over value a good hand. e.g. I lost $6 the other day with AA. Admittedly I was caught by an inside straight but it was bloody obvious what the other guy had but I rushed and called anyway. I really need to slow my play down when I get in situations like that. On the other hand - when ppl get mad at me, it makes me play like a genius! And finally, alcohol is great for a while but then there comes a point where I think I'm getting better but my bank roll says otherwise. G
