| What goes through there heads? Ok sometimes in poker I see stuff so bizarre and odd it doesn't make any sense at all. When it goes against me I assume it rigged when I see this stuff, but maybe not because it does happen in my favor too Like just now reminded me. I wouldn't call this a rant as I just took a near $100 from a complete idiot, more just a question of what can possibly explain this and what explanation is there. Some stuff is weird bad play but can kind of be grasped such as frustration in a sit and go when everyone has 2000 chips there or abouts level stacks blinds at 125/250 under gun you get AQ suited what can you do? well you can't fold limping is option but I don't like it so raise doesn't leave enough for c bet an dont want to check fold, only realistic option shove all in. obviously if you just shoved under the gun you must be bluffing so they call with A10. Genius call (slight sarcasm here) the flop comes KJ and you know the river is going to be Q you just know it and it is. This is frustrating and bad call but at least there some sense to it some logic. But some stuff just goes beyond the reaches of bad play tilt or stupidity to levels of which could only make sense if you denied reality itself. The worst bad beats I ever took online, and I am not referring to bad beat in sense of cash value but more in terms of absurdity is between two hands. 1. Dealt AA on six handed fixed limit table, $1/2 Under the gun raise $2 Hijack Raise to 3 ME (cut off) cap to $4 Button calls SB calls BB calls UG calls Hijack calls Flop comes 974 rainbow SB and BB both check SB bets $1 UG bets $2 Hijack raise to $3 cut off ME raise to $4 Button Calls everyone else now folds Strange I know turn K I bet Button calls River K I bet button re raise I call they turn up K2 Next hand also $1/2 fixed limit 6 handed on button everyone limps I am dealt KJ suited I assume no one has AK AQ AJ KQ or A10 as if they did they probably would have raised. With position i can get away here or continue depending on flop I raise it to $2. everyone the whole table calls. Flop comes KJ4 two cards suited. I have top two pair and dangerous board have to fight no slow play so someone bets I re raise, everyone calls. turn 7 Bet again Re raised Again by me 2 calls everyone else folds. River 5 Checked to me I bet Re raise I call 63 off suit straight. I just don't get what logic could possibly be going through these guys heads. t questions sanity and sense. There is bad play then there is stuff that just doesn't make sense in any way what so ever. Rigged theories are mostly funded by these sought of stories because they just make no sense for a human to do even a complete beginner. Such events eventually led to me Teaching My best mates cousin who is 6 or 7 how to play poker just to see if she could do the same things. (I visited his family home a few times) when I asked her if she would she said you know I am not stupid. this was after I spent 10 minutes teaching her, Yet somehow Adults over the age of 18 are capable of this How???????? I have just been called down by 5 high 7 high J high and 6 High in a heads up table where I have bet every street. Understand of course I won every single hand, they called on the river too with nothing literally. So I guess this leads me into thinking maybe its not rigged maybe human beings really do this, But why what logic What can possibly be going through there head. |
