What is a FreezeOut tournment?

Hey guys

I was hoping someone could let me know what a freezeout tourny is? How is it ran? All I know is it is a hold'em game. I found it at the Argosy Casnio in IN.

All it means is that there are no rebuys. When you're out, you're out.

I believe it is a no add on, no re buy tournament.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

ye, it isnt neccessarily a holdem event, it just means it is a tournament where if your out, you are out, no rebuys allowed

It`s a tourney held in North Norway in February. Loser takes out the trash.

It's worth noting that rebuy tournaments become freezeouts once the rebuy period is over.

By definition, every tournament is a freezeout by the end: otherwise you'd never get down to just one winner, and you'd call it a ring game instead.

No addon and no rebuy. Also they balance the tables based on the number of people remaining as opposed to it being a shootout where the tables play to the last man standing and the table winners face off.
