What exactly is meant by `the rake`?
Hi guys.
I`ve been playing poker for just on a year now, but I need to clarify the above point. `The rake` is an amount of every pot taken by the house? So what do you all mean when you talk about `rake back` (I think thats what ppl say. Do you guys mean the player points, such as FPP points on Pokerstars, etc? |

Many sites do it differently pokerstars use fpps party poker party points and some just give you a percentage of the rake they have taken from you and give you a percentage back
The rake is the set amount tht the house takes from every game u play sng is normally round 10% or the money taken off the pot on a cash table |

rake back is what on line sites return to you from your portion of the rake example troipical poker returns 25% of your rake if you play 00 hands per week and the more handsyou play the more rake you recieve back wpx returns all your rake no matter how many hands you play. fpp points are points you recieve for playing on that site which can be used for buying into tournaments or cool stuff from there stores

Poker rooms typically take a 5% cut of every pot, and this is called the "rake". You will often see it being stacked at the top of the table when you are playing. So if a pot reaches 20$ there is 1$ rake for the Room ........ usually maximum rake is 3$ ( for Pots 60$ and up ) ... some few rooms take up to 5$. If you play SH/Shorthanded or HU/Heads-up the rake is smaller
There are 2 rakeback free rooms on the internet, maybe more but those two I do know There are many Websites which are offering you get a so-called "rakeback" for most of all PokerRooms...... it`s different, some Rooms does calculate the rakeback if you`re active contribute money to the pot, other if you just get dealt cards ( rakeback - rakeshare/rakerabate ) ..... just a few words to the topic "rake" ;-) |
