What do you do while playing poker?

While playing, I like to listen to Coast to Coast AM in the background or a familiar TV show I've already seen before, that way I'm not necessarily losing much attention, but there is something else going on that could possibly take my mind off of a bad beat I just took / tilt. In any case, some other form of media seems marginally preferable, unless you're easily distracted and accidentally fold sometimes : )

I watch TV... sometimes with the sound turned off.

Watch the board pair...

I usually have sports on TV. TV shows or movies distract too much for my liking.

I focus entirely on the game and nothing else. No multi-tabling, no music, no conversations, no distractions. If I really want to do well in a tournament, I have a water bottle and sometimes a stick of gum at the ready before hands are dealt. I also usually riffle chips - it helps me concentrate and it's something to do with my hands when I'm not in a hand.

haaha Coast to Coast AM! That is awesome. I used to listen to that a lot and grind back when pokerstars was still in USA. Its pretty entertaining.

When I play poker I will pull up facebook and play some of there online casino games just to let the time pass between hands. Sometimes the big mtt's take a long time and just need to keep my mind working right instead of just sitting there and folding and waiting. If you something else to keep your mind at check you will tend to play better poker. Instead of sitting there folding and getting fustrated because your not getting any playable hands, get you off your game and get you to start playing hands you shouldnt have played.

I play poker if they need me to go on TV but sometimes even the radio .I also so I can only liken this deck definitely playing poker

I love to catch up some sports streams (football/soccer mostly) and balancing between two windows.

wow i would have to say just about all of the above. i guess it has a lot to do with the game im playing, my attitude, time of day or night and my opponents.

Most time I just make notes.
Sometimes I listen to music, some really motivational music that'll help me to stay awake at night sessions.

I do everything what allow me the computer and internet - reading, communicating, listening music and so on. May be its a bit careless.

I always watch a TV series simultaneously to get the edge off plus it passes time, great way to alleviate boredom......believe me, you don't want to be bored when playing poker.

I like to listen to music sometimes, but most of the time I try to just focus on the table!

I play at night when the wife is asleep and I can stay focused

If it's early in the tournament, I need to occupy my self with something to fight the boredom of continually folding marginal hands. Maybe a 2nd table for a short sit-n-go tournament.

I'm always listening music while I play, I can't play without noice I don't know why. Or maybe angry birds while I'm folding and waiting for better hands.

C2C is legit, but sometimes, I space out thinking about paranormality and accidentally fold decent hands, therefore, I have recently been making a switch to economics!

I listen to hip hop and other music. I've found anytime I get a call during a hand, it's time to fold. Doesn't matter if I have AA or a set, 100% of the time I've lost that hand. That said, I've deemed it God's way of telling me to get out the hand. But other then that, keeping as focused on poker as possible and remembering the outs, percentages and reads I have on people.

I generally have the TV on in the background. I also browse the internet a bit, especially when the blinds are small. However, as the game goes on, I usually pay more and more attention to the game.
