What do you do when waiting for a table? So I've been wondering about this for awhile since I went to a B&M Casino a couple of years ago, so I might as well ask everyone. What do you do when you're waiting for a table in a casino, particularly, if it's really busy and you have to wait an hour or even more to get a seat? When I was at the casino, I was bored of walking around and trying to go through my thoughts and get ready to play. I got convinced to sitting down at a blackjack table to try and kill some time. Wow...that was the quickest $100 I've spent in anything other than a large pot in Hold'Em. So interested as to what other players do when they have to wait.

I put my name down for a table then go and get something to eat. The wait is around about an hour depending on when you go. So I'll eat and just chill out because I've usually just come from work. Then I go and watch the tables a bit to get into the groove. Also I'll get a feel for maybe two tables at the limits I'm playing, marking any real strong or weak players. Then hopefully I get placed at one of those tables. Either way, my mind is into poker and I can get into it quickly once called for my seat. The temptation is to play a bit of craps because the craps tables are right next to the poker tables. I played quite a bit of craps a few years ago and it's a very interesting game. I never get sucked in but it's fun to watch for a few minutes. The dealers are hilarious.

Sit in the bar and read the free copies of Bluff At our local casino, the poker room is actually separate to the rest of the gaming floor so temptation with other games isn't such a big issue - there's some pokies (slot machines, in the US?), and that's about it. I don't play any other casino games anyway, but I imagine it helps other people stay focussed.
